Holiday park/Topparken Westerkogge - once and never again! We wanted to spend a long weekend there with friends, unfortunately the accommodation was so dirty and the staff unaccommodating that our friends left after just one day and we left on the second day. I'm really not used to such a lack of consideration and willingness to help from a holiday park. About the accommodation: The park presents itself as new and modern! I can agree with that, but the accommodation in the second block doesn't look so new. When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the dirty toilet, unfortunately there were excrements everywhere in the toilet. The rest of the accommodation was basically just swept clean. All the rooms were very dusty and hairy. Did the cleaning lady not have time to clean or is paying €68.50 for cleaning just a rip-off? Unfortunately, when we unpacked our things, we noticed a few other things, such as: - dirty bed linen (which you have to rent!) - missing sheets in one bedroom - dust and blood on and next to the bedside table - nail and callus residue in the wardrobe - bed covers with mold stains - there was a centimeter-thick layer of dust under the beds and there were still items belonging to our previous tenants underneath. In the living room, a lamp didn't work, an armchair was scratched (leather), probably by a dog that had been there before, the cushions were dirty (white and black covers that were mostly brown/muddy (as if a dog had been lying on them), not to mention the smell. There was no doormat in front of the door (the park is relatively new and doesn't have asphalt roads everywhere yet), so you always brought a lot of dirt into the house. The kitchen was not fully equipped, there should have been glasses, plates, cutlery, etc. for 6 people, but this was not the case. For example, there was exactly one wine glass. There were also no knives, scissors, etc. In addition, the light on the extractor hood was broken and the siphon in the kitchen was dripping, so that the base cabinet was full of water. This meant that our supplies were completely wet. The kitchen (gas hob and oven) looked to us as if they had never been cleaned, and all the pots had to be washed first because there were food residues on and in all of them. The table in the living room was also covered in some kind of food. As if that wasn't enough, there were also problems with parking. Only one car per accommodation was allowed on the premises. Unfortunately, there was not enough parking space in front of the barrier. Really stupid! To make matters worse, the reception is not always manned, so you could have expressed your frustration. If you call the hotline provided, you are taken to a menu that ultimately leads to nothing. There is only one way to get connected, but you have to dial the number using the bandana.
