Hotel Eckstein

Steglitz Berlin|1.92km from Free University of Berlin
We were looking for a half-way cheap decline, which is unfortunately not so easy in Berlin. Eckstein with its about 130,- Euro per night incl. Breakfast seems to be considered here as cheap ... We had a very simple room, but it had everything you need. If it was clean, I might have had less exposure. The room was cleaned every day, but unfortunately very superficial, i.e. old sticks, for example, on the doors or on the bottom of the cord in the bathroom were still there on the fourth day. Since the whole facility has come into the years, the whole thing seemed still untreated. The bed linen were brightly white, but with holes. That's what I've never experienced before. But what was very nice was that our room was on the rooftop and went out to the courtyard and the bathroom had a roof window that lets in wonderful daylight. Breakfast was kept very cheap. But it was all there. The breakfast room is very small in the hotel, the tables are covered for 4-6 people. Fortunately, the room was never really full and we always had a table only for us. It may be a taste thing, but I don't have to sit close to close to with strangers in the morning. Unfortunately, it was partly very noisy because the tables used were immediately decoated and then re-covered and it was clapped and shaped. The staff sprang up and down, which is really crazy in such a mini-room. What was very good is the location of the hotel. Our destinations were more in the west of the city, so we could achieve everything wonderfully without being travelling for hours. From the hotel to U9-Station (Closs street) it is a cat jump. A great shopping street (one of the largest in Berlin, as it turned out) is also accessible by foot bus. The hotel has free Wi-Fi. But the password is not found in the room as it is normal, but you have to ask at the reception. The owner, I think, is already a funny person. But we have not come to meet him closer. The staff was ok, even if something too hectic. I can't recommend this hotel further.

Two Hotel Berlin by Axel - Adults Only

Wilmersdorf
The service was good. The room was small, but the transportation was good near two stations. There was also a gym and sauna in the basement, and I didn't use it, but I want to use it next time.
Seminaris CampusHotel Berlin

Worst Service i have ever experienced. Hotel was pre paid through 3rd party booking service, upon arrival in the Self check in counter I had to pay for the full reservation again. Since it was late and we needed our room I chose to pay and deal with it later. When confronting the front desk I was met by 2 arrogant guys who couldn't care less to help with the problem and told me that they only had an invoice from the 3rd party booking. I showed them my mastercard transaction and said that they could check the Lobby camera to see that exact time on the check in day I would be in the lobby entering my card details on the Check in Ipad but no help was provided. Afterwards I contacted the Hotel through website with no response so I have just been left with paying twice for a hotel room. I am for sure never using Seminaris ever again.

Steglitz
Excelllent hotel- well located - super clean rooms - big and comfortable and well designed for the business traveller. Friendly stuff and excellent beakfast. However - I wont be staying there anymore. The hotel accused me of smoking in my room - which I did not - and charged me a ” cleaning fee” of tens of Euros without any reason, abusing the fact that I did not have time to discuss it before leaving for the airport - and not having anyone senior enough to discuss it wth.

Anna 1908

We were at the ”Hotel Anna 1908” (Steglitz) - Büsingstraße 1 -- for two weeks. Very upscale and swanky. Pleasant staff, very clean, very tidy. Lotsa of under-the-trees outside tables. Made ice for our Camparis-and-Sodas. The parking garage across the Bornstraße -- the cross street -- boasted a Mercedes-AMG S63 coupe -- MSR prices STARTING at $174,150. I convinced Lor that the color was ALL wrong. Phwew. Oh, and also a late-model Ferrari with a transparent engine cover - a F360 Modena, perhaps. When they moved it, they revved it. A lot! Parking must be lucrative. Turns out that there were/are loads of good eating joints within strolling distance ... we didn't get a renta-car.! And a ”Rewe” market with a wide array of red European wines and inexpensive ”Campari”, i.e., $13 a pop. ”Skoal!” ”Prost!” ”Cheers!” ”Ganbei!” Around the corners were the ”Forum Steglitz” and huge ”Boulevard Berlin” ... sorta like malls. Plus the ”Walter -Schreiner-Platz” U-Bahn station. Sells ticket store beer on Sunday, BTW, FYI, FWIW (a lot ... ).

This is my 6th visit here. I am in the travel industry, with very high end clients, which make it very hard to be me, being very critical of all things. This hotel is my choice for 2 major reasons. The location in Grünewald is excellent, but above all stands the staff. Levon I have known since the very first time arriving here, and I am hard on him, but MY LORD he is up to the task and rises above everything. He is the backbone of this hotel. Another person I want to give honors is Didi, friendly and helpful in any way. I travel with my dog, always have done that - and this is actually is not so easy, as some rooms categories are not accommodating us. Although - in rooms with hardwood floors, that should not be an issue. I am happy to pay for a total cleaning of the room after we leave. My dog lives with me in a very beautiful vila, with fantastic furnitures and tapetseries. Nothing is destroyed and the only thing in need of often changing, is the bed linnen. Well, this is of course a question to be put to the owners - but the staff, once again - LEVON is doing all they possibly can.
