Airporthotel Berlin Adlershof

I only stayed one night and didn't have very high expectations for around €50 per night. I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in a single room, which has a somewhat older design. The room was clean. It faced the street, but there wasn't too much noise. This side of the building also didn't get much direct sun. Trip.com claims in the description that this hotel doesn't have air conditioning, but that's not true. Most rooms here do have it. It was 32°C outside, and the air conditioning worked well. I was able to get the room to a nice, cool temperature. The thermostat is very basic, but I didn't mind because it worked well. Only in the morning did I notice that the room became warmer, probably because the minimum temperature is controlled automatically and the outside temperature had already dropped significantly. Breakfast was included, but I couldn't use it because I had to leave before 6 a.m. There are some complimentary drinks available near reception, including coffee, tea, and water, along with to-go cups. Overall, it's a good hotel. I stayed in a similar hotel in Berlin a few months ago, but I would choose this one again because of the price and the availability of air conditioning. It's also within walking distance of the S-Bahn station. There are direct trains to the airport, city center and the main train station (S9).

Great hotel, a bit too far from the city centre. If you’re a tourist, you may consider something more convenient (about 40m away from centre by public transport)

The check in was quick and easy, as was the check out, the breakfast was good but extremely over priced. But the room itself was like a hostel and the service was atrocious; - on my first morning there someone knocked on my door for ages at 05:50 and then when I had finally gone back to sleep they rang me on the room phone at 06:00 and at 07:00, the second time I picked up and they told me they have a technical difficulty in this room (couldn’t this have been said on check in or at a different time?!) so obviously I wasn’t happy. At breakfast time I then went to the check out desk to try and sort it out, there was no one there for 20 minutes, so I had breakfast and went back to the desk, where the staff member told me it was protocol that they knock and ring when this difficulty appears, I asked for a different room (as only my room was affected) the staff member said they were fully booked, which was completely understandable, so I asked for a refund as I wasn’t able to sleep and that was the reason I had booked a hotel room, to sleep. The staff member kept repeating that it was protocol and she couldn’t do anything, no refund, no new room, no technician untill a few days later. Ok top of this there were a few others things that disappointed me: - The curtains are super thin (even the ones pretending to be black out curtains) - The a.c is missing its cover, so you can see the dirty tissue type inlay material above the window - There’s no shelves or cupboards in the bathroom so I had to put all my make up supplies, shampoo etc all on the floor - Also, in most hotels you can put the card into a slot in the room to turn the lights on, which is brilliant because then you take the card with you when you leave the room and the lights all get turned of automatically, this doesn’t happen here, unfortunately it’s all manual All on all, I would not stay here again. And I wouldn’t recommend the room 341, there might be different, better rooms, but I don’t want to keep making the same mistake. If I wanted this type of service and this type of room, I would have booked a single room in a cheap hostel just down the road.

It was a nice experience. It would be great if they provide tea and coffee at the reception 24/7.
