Friendly and accomodating staff. Very good location, convenient to bus, trains and shops. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Will recommend and if I have to comeback to Berlin will definitely stay here again.
Breakfast has few choices.

We and my daughter stayed two people. Our room was quite small but compact. The air was very cold, but the room was very warm. Thanks to the heat from the ground. Although the location was very central, there were many sorrows and homeless under the bridge on the road that was near us and we had to use to go to the transport lines. This was particularly worrying on the first day. If I go with my daughter once again, I'm staying here just because of this security concern.

The location is very good, even on foot you're close to some main attractions. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and we appreciated the free water, tea, and coffee in the lobby. Our room had two single beds and, although not mentioned beforehand, we were pleased to find that it included a private bathroom. Towels were also provided.
However, the bathroom had no shower gel or soap at all. The room was meant to have underfloor heating, but we were cold for two nights due to a draught from the balcony door; only the last night was warm, and there was no thermostat to adjust the temperature. The beds creaked loudly with even the smallest movement. Finally, entering the room with the key card was surprisingly difficult — sometimes it took 2–4 minutes for the door to read the card, even after replacing it.

nice location.walking distance to train station, bus stop and subway station, there are many shopping malls nearby as well. We arrived the hotel at 10am, the reception gave us the free early check-in. the breakfast is rich and delicious. Staying the Hollywood theme environment is an unique experience.

Firstly, I was disappointed to find that the apples provided for breakfast were rotten, seriously rotten, which is not something I expect from a hotel of the standard.
More seriously, on the morning of July 10th at around 9:00 AM, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed on my door, a member of cleaning staff entered my room without knocking. At that time, I was in the middle of an important online meeting and giving a presentation, and this intrusion was extremely disruptive and unprofessional.
I visit Berlin often and have stayed at many hotels, but I have never encountered such issues elsewhere in the city.

I was due to the very central location for two nights in this hotel - just a few minutes walk from the Zoo Station and numerous restaurants in the immediate surroundings. The hotel has an impressive entrance, but is otherwise very simple. There were a few small damage in the room and a towel was not 100% clean, but nothing worrying. It is cheap and you realize that you also keep on every corner. I didn't try breakfast - perhaps it would have been worth the trial, because for a coffee and two coated breads you pay at least as much in the cafes and bakeries around you.

GGuest UserThe hotel is new and very close to the subway station. Although the room was a bit small, my overall stay was great, and the front desk staff were very friendly. A really excellent hotel!

GGuest UserA good hotel at a reasonable price. The area is safe, with cafes nearby (the nearest is Einstein), restaurants, the metro, and the light rail. Good for those who use public transport. Metro Zoo and Uhlandßttasse, buses, and shops are nearby. Close to Kurfürstendamm, Berlin's main shopping boulevard. Friendly service, and excellent breakfast and coffee. Comfortable beds and cleanliness. The room includes a kettle, tea, instant coffee, and toiletries. There's a hairdryer, an iron with an ironing board, and air conditioning.
Note: the bathroom's sliding glass doors don't block out noise.
The only drawback is that the rooms face the light rail tracks. However, the window is well-insulated and, when closed, allows in a little noise, which didn't bother us at night. It might be a bit bothersome for more sensitive individuals.

CChenhui Xialocation is perfect. near both Friedrich str. and Unter den Linden. Best for both tourists and business.
the hotel itself has the classic charm, fits berlin perfectly. I loved it. the facilities are bit old given the age of the building.

GGuest UserI went to Germany on a business trip and booked this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. The hotel has an elegant environment, good service, and a good breakfast. There is a church across the street, and the surrounding area is the most prosperous and beautiful area in Berlin.

GGuest UserLocation is great. The room is spacious even with a balcony. The room has a safe and fridge Which is we need. The toilet and bathroom are separate, Which is good for a family to share the room. The coffee machine is not clean enough.

MMARTINVery very friendly staff at the reception. If you park your car next to it at the parking space the reception can also reduce the daily rate to 8 Euro per day. Breakfast also very good with many choices. Super close to all kind of shopping. Less than 5min to public transport.

GGuest UserOverall, my experience was mixed, but the first impression really affected everything for me. The staff weren’t very friendly or professional, especially the evening receptionist. At one point he almost charged me twice, which seemed to be because he wasn’t confident using their system, and that really set a negative tone from the start. I also hadn’t realised the bathroom didn’t have a door, something other guests had mentioned in their reviews. On the positive side, the room itself was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Some of the staff didn’t speak English, so we had a few small communication issues, but compared to the first experience, that was a minor issue.

AAlvinMAAI stayed at Generator Berlin Alexanderplatz and overall had a pretty good experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the heating in the room was excellent — the space felt warm and very comfortable throughout my stay. The hostel’s common areas and facilities were also quite nice.
The only downside was the cleanliness inside my dorm room. Some roommates didn’t maintain good hygiene: they sometimes ate food inside the room, talked loudly on the phone late at night, and even left the bathroom unflushed. I also ended up throwing away plastic bottles left behind by others.
This wasn’t the hostel’s fault, but more about the behavior of certain guests. Aside from that, the hostel itself is great, and I would consider staying again — hopefully with more considerate roommates next time.
