Excellent luxury hotel with an excellent location. The concierge was very helpful and the entire staff was extremely accommodating and provided first class service. My room, although it was luxurious and the bed super comfortable, did look a bit old, and small for what I expected. The breakfast was great, very varied and with top quality traditional German ingredients and dishes. I especially remember the chefs who explained the ingredients to me and Andreas at the restaurant reception with a great attitude every time he saw us. I highly recommend this hotel , excellent option to visit Berlin

We arrived to a friendly welcome at this lovely hotel . Excellent room, well appointed with a modern ensuite bathroom . Breakfast was a well laid out buffet with plenty of choice . Staff were once again very friendly and courteous with pots of tea or coffee served at the table . The hotel was well placed for sightseeing Berlin and we would thoroughly recommend it if that is the purpose of your visit . The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .

This was our second time at this hotel and I just want to say what an outstanding stay it was. From the check in at reception to the amazing staff to the rooms and to everything else, it was excellent. This hotel only gets better and better. Keep the service up. All of the service was excellent. I am not mentioning names as there will be to many names to mention and every single member of staff was lovely. I will recommend it to everyone I know going to the Berlin. It is a feeling of home and I am now sitting back at home, and cannot wait for our next time.

This is a gorgeous spanking brand-new hotel in Berlin. Reception is exceptionally courteous, friendly and accommodating - I couldn't have asked for a better team of associates. The bar staff, breakfast room staff, concierge, and even the maintenance staff are as wonderful. I had a lovely large room with the most comfortable bed & pillows - all in modern, tasteful decor. The room also had amenities such as a mini-fridge, coffee service, waters, robe, and iron and work desk area with accessible power points on top (no bending under the desk here!) Upon arrival & departure I was greeted warmly . This sets the tone for a positive experience and I certainly felt the genuine welcome with pleasant smiles and friendly nature. The hotel is quite accessible to 2 U-Bahn stations, and within walking distance of the Berlin Zoo. Getting around Berlin is fairly easy with a well-integrated underground system of U-Bahn & S-Bahn trains. The hotel is on a quiet road across the Los Angeles Platz small park/square. I have stayed in the beautiful Novotel Berlin am Tiergarten for a business Meeting and extended my stay for visiting Berlin. The Hotel is the perfect combination of a business and leisure Hotel. The breakfast (especially for vegeterians/ vegans!!) offers a huge selection and the Riesling at the Bar is delicious. The staff I had contact with in various departments is just outrageously friendly and I really felt at home. The location of the Hotel is just perfect if you want to have a quick run in the morning with the huge Tiergarten Park right in front and with the train Station also in front you can travel anywhere super quick and convenient. The Spa Area was bigger than I have imagined, including a Gym, a Sauna, Steam Bath and a really huge outdoor sun terrace. I will definitely visit this Hotel again when I travel to Berlin. For me personally- my best Hotel stay ever.

The male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great, my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable! The location is very good, just in the city center, to various attractions, shopping and shopping, the surrounding restaurants are very convenient, it should be the best hotel I have ever stayed on this trip! If you have the chance to go to Berlin again, you have to choose this hotel!

We stayed at HI Berlin City West for 3 nights. Hotel is two blocks from Savignyplatz station with lots of shopping and dining options in the Ku’damm district. Kadewe is a few stops by bus. It’s also two bus stops from the Zoo station which is a major bus and train terminal. S9 takes you directly to BER if you need to catch a flight. The hotel is reasonably priced, updated modern and very clean. Typical European breakfast buffet included has lots of options like cold cuts, fresh fruits, bread, scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, yogurts, etc. Housekeeping was done every day. The most important asset is the staff. Max L. was extremely helpful and enthusiastically helped us with all our requests. The only concern I have is we were assigned to a room on one side of the hotel which faces the train track. The train schedule is limited at night but we are light sleepers. Mary K. diligently and promptly resolved our concern about the noise and moved us to a higher floor.

Hotel next to Berlin Zoo. The room was very stylish, neat and clean. The minibar was free and German beer was also placed! And the best part is the Jungle Sauna on the upper floor. Self-roasting is possible in the Finnish sauna. Pour water on the stove and adjust it, and a hot sauna is ready! There is a rest space next to the sauna where you can take a shy bath. Sparkling water and German beer were also available. Please note that the sauna is a mixed-gender bath and swimsuits are prohibited. Bath towels are placed in the sauna, so you don't need to bring them from your room. Bathrobes can be borrowed from reception. Stylish hotel, great sauna, friendly staff, everything was great. I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Berlin next time.

Extremely small room with very little space to manoeuvre. TV on wall becomes an obstacle because the bed is so close. No coffee maker/fridge. Bathroom shower door is clear glass and is in the way. I hit my arm on it and ended up with a huge bruise. Staff was ok. When I pointed out an error in my bill, although I was credited, it came with an eye roll. Breakfast was very good. Breakfast staff were very pleasant. Location is good. Not sure I’d stay again.

Located on one of Berlins main shopping streets, About is close to UBahn stations which makes it ideal for exploring. Staff welcome was friendly, down to earth and genuine. Reception is on 5th floor, with rooms on floors below, hotel is decorated in an urban modern style and very pleasing. Breakfast was perfect, with continental options aplenty, with some hot options too. Rooms are modern, exceptionally clean and spacious. We did find the rooms very warm, air con did not appear strong enough, but windows can be fully opened. Although it is a few stops away from main tourist sights on UBahn, we found it perfect and would highly recommend.

This Crowne Plaza is definitely showing its age and is ready for a fairly comprehensive refurb. It does have a very handy location, however, and still delivers a pretty solid product. Check-in was quick and efficient, although trying to pass off a standard room on a higher floor as an upgrade always feels a bit disingenuous. My IHG status was recognised and we were also able to check-in early. Most of the public areas of the hotel are quite dated and gloomy. The rooms were refurbished in the 2000s and are a bit more up to date, as are the bathrooms, but could also do with a more modern feel. No USB sockets here for sure. That said, the room was very clean and everything that was in it worked – including a very efficient HVAC system. Sound proofing was also reasonably decent (although we were on the quiet floor and you could still hear doors slamming) and the blackout curtains did their job. The room did feel quite cramped, particularly for a hotel originally built in the 1970s. The restaurant area has been updated more recently and the breakfast buffet was extensive, well stocked and enjoyable – definitely a highlight. We did book quite a long time in advance, so the room rate of around EUR130pn felt pretty good value for what we got. I would return if the rate was right.

Andy is the best host you could wish for. I’m not a regular traveler to Germany, but this will change. He is so lovely and full of knowledge of the area. Our room was clean and had access to the rear garden. There is also an outdoor courtyard area in the middle of the building. As a first time traveler to Berlin, I felt at home with the local advice Andy was always pleased to offer. And his advise never failed to give an opportunity to explore all this beautiful city has to offer. Let’s get onto breakfast. Well, what do you want, and how much do you want? Everything catered for. I like Motel One with the location. Also the car park next to the parking house is no problem. Only breakfast I have never been in the hotel. The location is optimal, the rooms are perfect, you can be stayed both quietly and in the spine. The service has always worked, hygiene is also sensational. There many can take an example of it. I am going there regularly a few times every year.

I had a nice stay in this hotel. Clean bathroom with everything I needed. Room was big enough, as I was alone. Wifi was working alright for me. Used it on my laptop and phone and had no issues. There were 2 downsides: for me, personally, the bed was way too hard. The first night it felt like I was laying on bricks. During my stay it got better, as I got used to it. The other thing was the airconditioning. As it was a hot period (30+ degrees), I chose this hotel as it had airconditioning. Well, it barely worked. The room thankfully didn't get superhot, because I was able to fully cover the window (so no sun could get in). A positive for me was the breakfast. I usually went around 9 am, and there was plenty of space for me to sit. Also the buffet was being restocked all the time and it got everything I wanted.
