This is my short story of how I lost 1,000 euro. I reserved for 8 persons at this hotel in January for two days breakfast included. Due to my mistake I reserved another hotel too for the same period. I was late to realize the overlap. I emailed Sonnenuhr on the day of our arrival. Positive thing that they responded quickly. However, I got no refund. Not even vouchers (which is the best practice in most countries). Not even vouchers for a part of the sum. They also refused to reimburse the breakfast which we did not consume. Arguing that they have already made all the purchases (so be aware if you have breakfast there on Sunday, it was bought two seats before…) I let the reader decide whether this is a consumer friendly hotel or not. We surely never go there.

Das Hotel garni verfolgt konsequent den Einsatz der digitalen Unterstützungsmittel, vom Zimmertürchip bis hin zur digitalen Gästemappe. Die Lage direkt an der Mosel mit Blick auf die Hänge der "Wehlener Sonnenuhr" ist fabelhaft, ein Radweg führt direkt am Hotel vorbei, der Moselradweg ist über eine nahegelegene Brücke schnell zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist ordentlich, ein neuerliches Auflegen von Wurst und Käse zu etwas späterer Frühstückszeit würde aber nicht schaden. Bei den gut ausgestatteten Zimmern fehlt auf dem Balkon eigentlich nur noch ein kleines Tischchen zum Abstellen von Getränkegläsern. Nachts herrscht eine himmlische Ruhe. Für Fahrräder gibt es eine Garage mit Lademöglichkeiten. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal bei Familie Krebs zu Gast. Dieses kleine aber feine Hotel direkt am Moselufer ist wirklich toll. Es gibt eine gute Einweisung in alle Notwendigkeiten rund um den Aufenthalt. Unser Zimmer hatte eine klasse Aussicht auf die Mosel und die Wehlener Sonnenuhr sowie einen kleinen Balkon. Sehr gute Betten, man kann hier wirklich gut schlafen. Der Tag beginnt mit einem wirklich sehr guten Frühstück. Es fehlt an gar nichts. Prima ist auch der Gedanke an Nachhaltigkeit , an Bio und Regionale Produkte. Sonst ist alles vorhanden. E Auto Ladestation (2 )Bike Garage, Bike Vermietung, Spa und Relax und vor allem tolle Gastgeber und Angestellte. Die Lage ist bestens. Nur wenige km nach Bernkastel oder Zeltingen. Super schön. Ich kann dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen.
