Fabulouso! Fabulouso!! Ruth was a lovely hostess, very warm and welcoming. This period property was very well maintained, cosy and decorated tastefully. Amazing bathroom, comfortable bed, Welsh cakes a very nice touch and a breakfast full of fine ingredients - down to the homemade marmalade which we bought a jar! We will most definitely return!

Really beautiful B&B. The house has so much character and lovely antique furniture. Brekkie was fab too. We are at Checkers on the square in the evening and the food was great, but service was really slow, so if you’re thinking of doing the same, book an early table. Thanks very much for having us!

Booked this beautiful B and B as we were in the area visiting Powis Castle which is only a short drive away. We were in for a real treat, Ruth the owner has the most stunning property with impeccable taste and an eye for detail which is evident throughout. Ruth’s warm welcome makes you feel relaxed and at home as soon as you step inside the door. Homemade Welsh cakes and ample supply of tea, coffee etc were welcome after a long day. The room was furnished beautifully with top quality bedding, towels, robes and toiletries, in fact everything you need for your stay has been thought of. A beautiful sitting room is also available should you wish to watch tv as there isn’t one in the room which was no problem to us. Our room was peaceful and quiet with no noise issues whatsoever. The clock tower situated next door does not chime through the night, Breakfast was a real treat, we had the Welsh breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Thank you Ruth for letting us stay and we look forward to booking with you again in the near future. If I could give you 20 out of 5 stars I would have!

I stayed in the twin room with my Son as a stop over on our way to Aberystwyth University open day. The room/whole house is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed and very comfortable. I normally have trouble sleeping in ‘strange’ beds but the mattress, duvet and pillows were soft and very comfortable and I had no problem getting to sleep despite sharing a room with my son who snores sound like blocked drains. In the morning we opted for the Full Welsh breakfast which was perfectly cooked and was mostly sourced from the local area. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and there was fresh coffee. It was delicious. The absolute best thing about the old stores BnB is the host Ruth, she is lovely and very hospitable and cooks a great breakfast.
