I would like to thank the management of the Barat For organising a cake for my daughter on the 16th birthday and a big thank you for upgrading us for free to top floor with sea views which were unexpected, you made our holiday even wonderful .thank you from the bottom of our hearth for you kindness..and I would like to thank the whole of the team for being amazing Loving people. We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon. By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before. The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach. The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy. I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining.

This resort is a gem on the island. It’s nothing fancy but clean, staff are friendly and provide a proactive service to guest. It is in a good location and offers snorkel trips, diving, beach towels and water taxi’s to get around. The restaurant service is good and they accommodate requests (making small item changes to dishes).

Absolutely relaxing break during the long week end. Great place to unwind. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. I stayed in standard chalet, which is basic but met my requirements at the price I paid. Located next to the jetty, it is easy to access by boats. I recommend this place for solo travellers as well as families.

Good location, food is the best in this side of the island. Room service and the condition can be improved,

Perfect holiday getaway. Booked the family seafront which was just completed in Apr24. Everything works well as the new unit, cold bottled water and cold room in a heated noon is a real blessing. Rooms are clean and good to have toilet separated from shower room. We use Cosmic Divers as it’s cheaper compared with Barat’s, not to mention additional 10+8% tax! Cosmic allowed us to choose our preferred dive spots and offer pick up/drop off.

staff was friendly and attentive, room was clean , restaurent food was excellent actually we spent four days dining in. love the smile and friendlyness of the staff particularly in restaurent.

Morning lady staff was rode , in general staff were not friendly except few of them. Maybe because of the down season.

I cannot evaluate the hotel as I couldn’t make it due to personal reasons, but the owner showed no empathy in canceling or charging only for one night of our stay. Shame!

We had a wonderful stay and the food is delicious especially the mee mamak.

Location is good and the food is nice

Started with family and had an amazing trip. , , the staff were really nice and helpful. Location is quiet while nearby restaurants are available. Amazing snorkeling only a few minutes away We used the hotel activities for snorkeling tour + scubba diving and the staff was great, really kind and knowledgeable so big up to them (Benny and Nick).

We went to barat perhentian during the school holidays. Check in was smooth. We arrived early and was given our room once it is ready. The beach in front of barat is not that great, but you can walk 10mins to perhentian island resort beach - the beach there is awesome. White sand, clear blue water and there are some coral & nemo at the end of the beach.
