"We have just returned from 5 nights camping at Chestnut Meadow and we have had a fabulous time. The campsite was so quiet which was lovely. Great shop and play area for the children. One negative was that the showers really need a good clean out every day and they just didn’t get it. This was even more apparent as the site became quieter. The drains were also blocked, this meant the showers filled with water (and grass/other peoples hair etc) when you are trying to wash. We hope to return next year as the pitch sizes are really big."

"What a gem of a find …… lovely b&b over a great bar opposite the seafront. Really friendly staff, clean rooms, cosy bed and amazing breakfast. We didn’t hear any noise from the bar in our rooms. A lovely quirky place to stay and would definately stay again."

"Lipstick and rouge. On initial checkin, it looked ok. But we first noticed a spider, then lots of spider webs on one light. After removing the spider, we figured the bed was a little lumpy but nothing major. First night was initially quiet until the flat above came back. You can hear everything above. Walking around like you were in the basement of a farm house, voices… everything. So second night came back, found two very large spiders on the walls (talking full grown half a baseball sized spiders) killed them. Then put in ear plugs to sleep for the night. Several times woken by the loud banging of what i think was the opening and closing of doors. Though im not sure, then, after being unable to get back to sleep, removed the ear plugs to hear snoring from the room above. For the price paid, expected far more from this property. If those are not issues for you, then your good. Otherwise, you might want to go elsewhere. It was located in the heart of the town… "

"From entering the well maintained entrance into the site, you can see that this is a well cared for holiday complex. The lodges are stunning, spotlessly clean, so comfortable , with the added extra of a hot tub. Would return at a heartbeat."

"We chose this B&B as it's very close to the De La Warr Pavilion where we were going to see a concert. When we first arrived we were unsure where to go as there was very little signage. However we went in the bar and voila we were in the right place. First impressions weren't good. The stair carpet has seen better days and the bannister was sticky. However opening the door to our room (we stayed in room 4) was like entering an alternative universe. The room was perfect and incredibly spotless. The room was a very big size. There was a seating area and a very nice large television. The bathroom was big too. We loved the taps. Never seen their style before, like a waterfall. The shower had good pressure too. The staff were lovely. Always smiling. The breakfast was delicious. My partner had the full English and I had the vegetarian option. You fill out a sheet the night before. He chose fried eggs I had poached. All cooked to perfection. There is a side entrance for staying guests so no need to walk through the bar once you've got your key. The sea view in room 4 was wonderful. We had a lovely stay and will be back. What's not to love, great room, friendly staff and home in less than a minute from the concert. Perfect."

"Lipstick and rouge. Noisy, uncomfortable bed, shower changes from scalding to cold, to scalding. Spiders, cobwebs…. Generally over priced for what you get. Could hear the couple upstairs talking as if they were in our room. Woken up to stomping as they walked around in the morning and night. Avoid this place"
