Thagu Chhen, a Boutique Hotel

This boutique hotel in Bhaktapur is well located close to the Durban Square. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with good beds. The breakfast is extremely good with a lot of choices. The staff were so helpful and that made our stay one to never forget.

Excellent hotel/apartment house 2 minutes walk from Bhaktapur Durbar square in a well-maintained, clean and newly renovated street. The staff are kind and helpful and have great recommendations on how to get around/what to see etc. We were warmly greeted by Roshna and we were offered hot hand towels to cleanse our hands/face from a long day’s travel. Prepared welcome drinks and a Nepalese scarf! Such a kind welcome! We stayed in the Navadurga apartment house, which is on the 3rd floor with excellent views of the city and surrounding mountains. The bedroom window looked out onto the main street but the building/windows are well-insulated so no noise was disturbing us during the night. The bedroom was spacious and the bed and pillows we found very comfortable. The shower was also huge and everything worked well. The accommodation included breakfast at the neighboring restaurant/hotel (owned by the same owner) and oh my! It was just out of this world, what a spread! We tried the local breakfast and the western breakfast and both were plenty, delicious & well presented! Bidur (our waiter) was excellent at taking care of us, he spoke great English and told us about Nepal and life here. All in all, this was the best place we stayed at in Nepal and when we come back to Nepal, we sure will be back here! Highly recommended!

This was a bit of a splurge for us because it is not the cheapest place. But is was a very nice stay. The rooms are spacious and have a wonderfull view to the mountains in the north. Pillows and beds are not the most comfortable ones, especially the pillows are a bit to thick and firm. Staff on the other hand is great. They are willing to help wherever they can and share their knowledge about the city, culture or cuisine. Very kind.

We had an amazing time in this place! People are extremely nice and helpful, our first experience in Nepal is raising the bar high! Comfortable room, calm night, clean place ! We recommend it ! Thank you!

This is my third time to Bhaktapur, but it’s my first time staying at this guest house. The hotel met and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were large with a living space, kitchen, & bedroom. It is very near to Durbar Square with all the historic sites, restaurants, and shopping. All of the staff is extremely friendly, kind, and accommodating. Food at the restaurant was outstanding. I highly recommend. That’s why I gave it 5 stars.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. The service was amazing, staffs were super friendly. The place is beautiful and located at the centre of Bhaktapur and within a walking distance to all the attractions around.

Would definitely recommend. We really enjoyed our stay here. Reasonable pricing, nice and clean rooms, many food options - we enjoyed the authentic Newari dishes and excellent service. We were very happy with their hospitality.
