Alfred Hotels Port-Vieux

Overall, I didn't get what I expected. The only good points were the location and the staff (and no complaints about the housekeeping or cleanliness). My booking stated: access without stairs (it ended up being the 3rd floor, and the elevator wasn't working) and a safe in the room (there was no safe). The only amenities in the room were a hairdryer and a non-heating air conditioner. Upon arrival, I was placed in a different building, which has no reception. You have to walk down the street to get there. You can't just go downstairs for breakfast—you have to get dressed and walk down the street. These details weren't known to me when I made the booking. Therefore, any requests have to be made in the other building. There's no kettle in the room, and boiling water is impossible to get anywhere (only at breakfast), which is incredibly inconvenient. I had to buy tea at nearby cafes for 3 euros. This is very strange, since the building downstairs has a living room and a sort of kitchen, but they're unequipped, just lounge furniture (presumably for summer gatherings). There's not even a water cooler. The room was cold; there are no radiators, and the only heating is via the air conditioner. They fixed it the next day (thank you). But the night I arrived, I had a cold; it was raining, and the cold room only made it worse. In general, I recommend checking which building you'll be staying in when booking: if you're staying at the George Hotel, it's the main building with an elevator and reception, which is better. If you're staying at the Maisone, it's the building without any infrastructure. Although the distance to the sea and beach is almost identical, the location is very convenient. A few words about breakfast. It's quite monotonous, but everything is delicious. The staff is extremely friendly. When I finished my scrambled eggs, they personally made me a fresh one, even though breakfast was almost over. It's better to order filter coffee; the coffee from the machine won't taste good. There's a choice of milk. Pancakes and pastries are also available. But no vegetables.
