Cod Rock Point
4.8/527 Reviews
This was my third stay in The Lookout at Cod Rock Point and this visit was just as relaxing and enjoyable as the other occasions. With magnificent water views and the waterfront just a short walk through the private garden which is home to passing penguins in the evening, The Lookout provided the perfect post-COVID lockdown escape! The Lookout is always immaculately presented and spotlessly clean, but David and Dinky had left complimentary hand sanitiser and a document outlining their COVID safe plan to reassure guests that additional measures are being implemented to ensure the highest of hygiene standards. Close enough to explore the stunning Freycinet National Park and local wineries for a venture further afield, we also enjoyed the local attractions of Bicheno starting the day with coffee and treats from Little Bay Patisserie and lobster rolls from The Lobster Shack for lunch – both within walking distance of Cod Rock Point. Another perfect stay at this picturesque, warm, comfortable and very clean retreat!
Beachfront Bicheno

Thanks for a great 4 night stay. The room, location & views exceeded our expectations and it was extremely good value for the price. I would highly recommend Beachfront Bicheno for anyone staying on the East Coast - there is a lot to see and do in the area and Bicheno is a great base. Be mindful that many eateries close early. Don't miss the Lobster Shack & nearby Devil's Corner (even if you aren't a wine drinker the seafood is amazing). The Farm shed offers wine tasting & it's a short walk back to your room. The Penguin Parade is also a must do. We would stay at Beachfront Bicheno again in a heartbeat - recommend booking the sea view room. Very comfortable, great pillows, much quieter than we expected (it was super, super quiet), but easy to walk to most things, and a bottle shop on site! The heater in the bathroom was a nice touch. Overall - excellent value for money.
Apartments on Fraser Bicheno

The apartment is located on a small slope in the town The sign is very small. It is recommended to contact the landlord in time when you check in The landlord was very friendly and recommended to us the restaurants in the town Two bedroom apartment modern and clean area is very large One master bedroom with double bed and one side bedroom with two single beds Very suitable for a family trip All tableware and kitchen supplies are complete Cars can be parked at the door, each apartment has two parking spaces In addition, the town of Bicheno is really great You can see little penguins along the beach at night The landlord also prepared a flashlight with red light A few kilometers along the town, there is a super beautiful beach Encounter a super beautiful white beach Denison conservation area Although there is no evaluation on Google There are few people but it's so beautiful that it's suffocating
Beachend Bicheno

We were 4 couples coming from Victoria primarily for the Devil Of A Swim event. We booked the 3 units for 4 couples for 4 nights. We had a wonderful time. The location and the views are to die for.Every morning we would wake to a wonderful sunrise over the paddocks, Diamond Island and the ocean. We swam (coming from Victoria used to cold waters),walked to The Gulch and swam in Waubs Bay among other activities. A good 1 1/2 k walk or a 5 minutes drive from Bicheno township. Freycinet and Wineglass Bay walks a must as is having a drink and lunch at Devil's Corner and many other fine wineries in close proximity.Great cafes and coffees in town and don't miss The Farm Shed for all things local including wines. A great place to stay and explore all the east coast of Tasmania has to offer. Shane was incredibly helpful. The swims through the kelp gutters unforgettable. We will be back again for next years Devil Swim-if not sooner.
Bicheno East Coast Holiday Park
4.3/538 Reviews
Sadly I am unable to write a full review of my stay at Bicheno East Coast Holiday Park. In spite of making a reservation through *********** some months before and several email communications with the management of the property closer to the time of my stay, advising I would be arriving late, after 6.00pm, having driven from Hobart via East Coast, the reception was closed. After making a number of phone calls which went unanswered and leaving several messages I left. There was a phone number on the door of reception but was partially obscured by a Covid notification. The location looked ideal sadly I cannot offer any further commentary. Did not expect reception to stay open just for me, but did hope that someone might drop a key off or leave a note as was done at other properties on my travels.
Diamond Island Resort & Bicheno Penguin Show
3.8/5105 Reviews
The location of the hotel is very good. The front of the room is facing a large lawn, which leads directly to the beach. It is the hotel's private beach. The beach leading to Diamond Island emerges at low tide. If time is spare, it is best to stay for 2 nights. Watching penguins returning at night is not as chicken as other comments said. Just 10 minutes after they got there, a group of penguins returned. They were so cute. Afterwards, the penguins came back one after another. Seeing visual fatigue, the guide was easy-going. Get out of the platform to watch more closely, but everyone is afraid to disturb the penguins, and they keep their distance consciously. The only downside is that the air conditioner in the room is broken, and the temperature difference at night is quite cold.
