"Room though small was very clean and didn’t look too scruffy. Had the usual amenities. Generally acceptable. But the location is not ideal if you are walking the camino. Better to stay somewhere nearer the Templar’s castle. On the corner of the street where this hotel is there is a little grocery shop selling dried meats etc. Female shopkeeper was reluctant to serve my husband and ranted at me for taking a photo of the dried meats presumably because she was coincidentally in the picture. Perhaps because we are Chinese. Bear that in mind if you think of patronising."

"We were stunned when, upon entering the bathroom and lifting the toilet seat, we saw that someone had relieved themselves there, and judging by the appearance and smell, it had been there for several hours. It's unbelievable that a room is handed over in that state. They moved us to another room, but the new one had an adapted bathroom with a shower tray and no screen, so every time we showered, the entire bathroom flooded. Honestly, we expected some gesture from the hotel: a discount, free breakfast, or any small token of appreciation for the inconvenience. However, at reception, they told us they couldn't do anything. Well, I guess it's normal for someone to use the guest bathroom and not even think to flush…"

"We stayed here while walking the Camino. Right on the path, beautiful hotel, gorgeous clean rooms, high end showers with hot water which were one of the best in terms of pressure and heat, the breakfast was to die for with homemade cakes, breads, jams, butters, honey, ham, and cheeses, and the black tea--Superb! The biggest compliment goes to Ana, the breakfast staff person (who also cleans rooms) who would go out of her way to help anyone. She was so cheery, so helpful and so kind. The other breakfast person was also wonderful as was the Ana, at the front desk. The only thing I would recommend is for such a high end shower, perhaps you should put in a soap dispense instead of giving one tiny bar of soap. But that does not take away from the 5 stars!"
