We came here as a party of 10 for Mothers day 2025. We all pre ordered our starters and mains. We turned up and were quickly taken to our table. The food was amazing, couldn't have asked for a better service and although they were busy with it being mothers day we didn't feel rushed at all. Lovely friendly staff that were extremely helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend. Will be back again soon.

stayed here for 1 night as had an appointment nearby,arrived early but a room was sorted immedeately for me.the gentleman behind the bar was very welcoming & friendly,GUY was his name.had fish & chips on the evening which was excellent. the room was very spacious & clean & for what i paid for b&b was outstanding value.breakfast in morning was also excellent & again MARIA was very polite & friendly. would definately reccomend the green man for a stay

We had an absolutely wonderful experience that exceeded all our expectations. The service was exceptional, meeting individual needs with precision and care. Adam demonstrated punctuality and offered a bespoke approach, making us feel truly valued. The food was simply fantastic – perfectly portioned, delightful in taste, and ideal for children as well. It struck the perfect balance of quality and quantity, satisfying every palate at the table. Adam, with his great humour and great interactions with our children made the experience even more rewarding. Adam made us feel extremely welcome and the friendly atmosphere made us feel immediately at ease. His efforts and dedication were outstanding in every way, leaving a lasting impression on us. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue for anyone seeking great food, impeccable service, and an unforgettable experience."

Really lovely pub atmosphere, clearly loved locally as was a full house of happy looking tables! Roast Beef and Miso Mushroom Burger were delicious, also Camembert starter is INCREDIBLE. All the team were friendly and checked regularly we were happy and had everything we need.

We had a lunch for 20 people. Everyone had pre-ordered from the dining and dessert menus. The food was served efficiently and as ordered, fresh and hot. All 20 guests said their meals were excellent and everyone agreed that the service was perfect. We will definitely return for future events.

Staff friendly and served very well All in good exceptional timings Menu excellent Sunday roast orders with side of cauliflower cheese which was served but had been microwaved Drinks expensive Restaurant very cold so eat our lunch and left

We received a very friendly warm welcome. I mucked up our book g but nothing was too much trouble fur our host to put right. Our room was lovely and the bar and restaurant great . Fab food and a very pleasant evening . Loved the bathroom with the claw foot “Slipper” bath and the mirror that doubled as a tv ! Would definitely stay again .

Omg… what a lovely venue,… A nice warm retreat from the cold … juicy burgers 🍔 to die for, Definately a contender for one of the best, 👌 Thoroughly Recommended a visit if you are looking for accommodation rooms in the area or just a bite to eat,
