This hotel is amazing! Must stay in this place when coming to bilbao! The location is super convenient, just across the road from the museum, the view is first class, the hotel is full of space, the service staff is super nice, the room is also very large, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is very rich but a bit expensive (compared with the Spanish price level, it takes 24 euros a person), drinking at night at rooftop is first class, The scenery is super beautiful, two minutes walk is the best Chinese food Grand Canal in bilbao, you can eat Chinese food balance if you are tired of Basque food. There is an airport bus across the road from the back door of the hotel. It is really good. The picture with the subway sheet above the bed in room 107 describes the location of the room. It is a dark hole that you cannot shake to the guests. Through the window, which is located to a desolate inner sheet, almost no daylight falls into the room. You have to almost always turn artificial light in so that you can move in the room! The photos of room 107 published by the hotel operator do not reflect the reality at all. All were taken with artificial light without exception. The reception of the Casual Blue, which consists of a table and a chair, was not occupied during our stay. All communication with the operator, such as the access code to the hotel and the room, was carried via the smartphone either by email or via WhatsApp. A direct contact was possible only with the Casual Gurea, which belongs to the same group, which is about 200 metres away.

500% recommendation. Amazing place at the perfect location. A 5-10 minute walk to the old town, 20 minutes to the Guggenheim and the metro to the seaside is just outside the door. Staff is incredibly Friendly and even if it's technically a hostel it's better than many a hotel I've stayed at. Like in a hostel, there's daily activities but you can choose if you want to mingle or use it as a hotel and not talk to anyone, as the common room is on the subterranean floor. Even during live music didn't hear a peep on the second floor. Comfortable beds, the double room was spacious, stylish and had a great shower. Would always come back here.

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and has a good atmosphere. The location is ideal if you want to spend your time in the Old Casco, and is next to the river and the main streets of the Old Casco. Beds and rooms are comfortable and lockers and toilets work well. The room was very comfortable and the staff helped us with any doubt. The terrace on the fifth floor is very beautiful. There is noise for the streets and corridors at night so it's worth bringing a closing for our ears. You have to ask for the air conditioner command, but it works well. And remember that you have to take out the bed soaps and put them in the boxes that are on the stairs - that is not a hotel!

We stayed four nights in a NYX Suite in the middle of August. This hotel has an excellent location at the entrance to the old Town. The Renfe train station to Madrid and Barcelona is about 6 minutes walking across the bridge right in front of the hotel. This bridge also takes you to the major shopping street of Bilbao as well. The Guggenheim is a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the river and around the corner you'll find the Plaza Barria with some of the best pinxto bars in the Basque country. The metro station that will take you right to the intermodal bus station is a short 2 minute walk away. The suite was compact with only a double bed, but the bathroom was roomy and the shower easily fit two. Storage was minimal, but there was a safe, mini fridge, iron and ironing board. The coffee maker was an imitation Nespresso, but the pods were Lavazza. The balcony had a fantastic 270 degree view of the old Town and the newer city across the river. A negative note: Almost every evening we came home to discover a new invasion of ants crossing our room, slipping under the door and parading down the hall.

I thought I'd exhausted my search of hotels in Bilbao, but stumbled upon the Bilder Boutique Hotel quite late on before my trip. I'm glad I did! For the standard of the rooms, I thought it was very reasonably priced: approx. £130 per night with breakfast. I opted for an 'inside' room, which had a window onto a small courtyard. Despite being very central in the old town, this meant it was incredibly quiet overnight, even with the window open. The room itself was lovely: spotless, good tea and coffee facilities, comfy bed and a great bathroom. The hotel is in the old town itself and, very conveniently, less than a 5 minute walk to a Metro stop. Also, the bus to the airport is just a 15 minute walk away at Plaza Noyoa. Lots of other attractions, bars and restaurants all within a 5 to 20 minute walk. Reception staff were very friendly. My only complaint was at breakfast time. Breakfast was lovely, and arguably very good value for the amount you bet, but the service wasn't particularly friendly. There was a language barrier with an older guy working over the weekend. I just felt this isn't a reason to come across as quite cold. By contrast, the guy serving on the Sunday morning also didn't speak English, but was still very friendly.
