I stayed at the Axel Hotel Bilbao and was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel has a sauna and a Jacuzzi, plus a rooftop pool which is perfect for relaxing. Check-in is from 3 PM, but since my room was already available, they let me check in a bit earlier, which I really appreciated. The staff were very friendly throughout my stay. Definitely a very positive experience. I would stay here again!

This hotel came as a very nice surprise and it exceeded expectations in many ways and more . Was a great location and lovely start . For a city I’d never been to they were so welcoming and helpful and kind and I felt very safe and supported . They were amazing at letting me keep my luggage while I explored the city before my next train to Madrid . The only downside was that there were not many vegan alt options for the breakfast so I wouldn’t buy it if you had allergens . They tried to help as much as they could to accommodate tho . Was so much fun Will be coming again and bring friends

We had such a great time this year for Semana Grande. And the Axel Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Right on the river next to a great spot for drinks and food. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to watch the fireworks! The staff was so helpful and friendly. And although we didn't need housekeeping while we were staying there they offered every day to clean our room or swap out towels or necessities for us. What a great experience. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing hotel, the staff were most friendly and helpful. Its proximity to the old town makes this a must stay location. The breakfast was spectacular and the rooftop pool and bar were fabulous. Overall an excellent location and will be a repeat stay for me in the future.

Great location! Everything is within easy walking distance. The reception was friendly and efficient. Nice, modern, spacious rooms. Unfortunately, part of the wardrobe was on top of the minibar. We didn't have enough space for our clothes. The difficult part, however, was a disgusting sewer smell in the shower every morning at 7 a.m. We felt like we were going to vomit. We told the receptionist, and she said the cleaning lady would put something in. It was getting better, but still not ideal.
