Wow — that Calzone pizza was absolutely delicious! Perfectly baked, loaded with flavour and the crust was just the right amount of crispy. The balance of cheese, sauce and fillings was spot-on, making each bite flavourful and satisfying. Will definitely be ordering again!

Upon check in we found our room and were dissappointed to see that the bathroom was not particularly clean. We went straight back to reception and they moved us to another room in the main building. The 2nd room was better but unfortunately there is still much need for improvement! The room was very dated, the sockets and switches were also very old, we had a light in the bedroom hanging off the wall and after running water in the bathroom were left with a strong sewage smell. We did report this to reception on check out but the lady couldn’t have seemed less interested. The rest of the staff that we met were lovely and breakfast was nice in the restaurant but unfortunately we won’t be returning to this hotel unless some major upgrades are made.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Booked 34 people into The Artisan restaurant on the Mezzanine for my daughter’s 50th birthday. The food was AMAZING! The very best fillet steak I’ve ever had. The prawn and chorizo starter went down a real treat and the raspberry crème brûlée fantastic. Service was exceptional, in the restaurant, the bar and the Hotel. Rooms are suites and appointed with the best beds and bedding, lounge with leather sofa, bathroom had both a bath and a shower. A big thank you to David Haigh, Warren Marsh and all the staff who made sure everything ran smoothly. Oh, and the quality of the produce at breakfast time was simply the best!

First impression was lovely. Room was fine ,bathroom spotless. On using the pool and changing room noticed it was not very clean and could do with a refurb. Also second day there was a swimming instructor teaching kids . Very loud and ended up not staying there. The meal in the restaurant was amazing as were the staff. Huge portions and very tasty. Unfortunately we found drug paraphernalia and used underwear when the tv remote went under sofa cushion. Took these to reception next day and explained wasn't very pleased about that. Staff member showed no interest whatsoever. We didn't even receive an apology. Also the heating system was very noisy in our room and woke us up numerous times. Get the impression if you are not a big group e.g. wedding party ,then you're not really treated as a guest. We mostly went out in the day and found local area to be lovely

We stayed here for three nights with family celebrating a special occasion. We purchased this through wowcher for a very reasonable price and had 5 rooms in total. The staff were super helpful (Warren, David and the lovely man in the restaurant, sorry i didn't get your name) and catered for all our needs. The food was amazing, both breakfast and dinner. We could not fault the food in any way, some of the best we've eaten! The rooms were big, but we did upgrade to a suite. They needed a little upgrading though, as they were looking quite tired. A paint, new sofas, and carpets were needed, but I had heard this was a work in progress for the new owner. They were clean and the radiators had thermostats on so you could set your own temp in the room. Saying that, my mum had the honeymoon suite, which was beautiful! If all rooms are finished like this, it will be a win-win in our eyes. The suites had balconies, which was an added bonus. The hotel is in a lovely area surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely days out. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Foxfields, we will return!

Me and my wife got married at Foxfields Country Hotel this weekend. It was the best day of our lives. Sarah, Warren and David are absolutely incredible, they made the whole process basically stress free and went above and beyond to create the best day we could have ever wished for. The venue is incredible the whole day was seamless and ran so smoothly, and the food was exceptional. The staff in the hotel are so professional, friendly and nothing is ever too much. Grace, Lewis and Courteney were absolutely amazing the whole weekend. We cannot recommend Foxfields enough to anyone who is looking to book a wedding or any kind of event, and the Artisan serves the best breakfast we have ever had. Words cannot express how amazing this place is, how important they make you feel and how they will go the extra mile to ensure the day is exactly what you wanted and more.

We went for an overnight on a woucher deal. Dinner bed and breakfast.. we were pleasantly surprised with the general feel of the hotel given the reasonable cost. The receptionist was super helpful and provided us with a change of room from second to ground floor since my husband has mobility issues. I did not check beforehand whether there was a lift. There was not which was a huge surprise. The food in the restaurant was very good with generous portions. The staff were polite and courteous for both meal times. The only disappointment was that the room was very very cold. The room was large and pleasant. All very clean. The bathroom was well proportioned with a wash basin each, bath and separate shower. We would recommend this hotel but maybe in warmer weather.
