Mutiara Beach Resort

The resort and the staff are extraordinary! A true gem where you can wind down, enjoy nature & delicious food. It's not "polished", which makes it really stand out in a good way. Highly recommended.

The personal is very friendly and helpful. You can eat the ordered food anywhere you want. The beach is very beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to get away from city life and experience raw nature..

The place is a good way to relax and enjoy. It is such a free and easy holiday. The staff are very friendly, always smiling. The foods are great too.

It was very nice. The location is about 45 minutes from the ferry port but that means it is quiet and relaxing which is exactly what we wanted. The staff were friendly and attentive. We tried as much as we could from the menu and it was all great. The crêpes for breakfast were especially good.

Mutiara is not a typical beach resort—it’s a true eco-resort designed with tradition and sustainability in mind. It’s also actively run by the long-time owner—no corporate chains here. The most important things to be prepared for: no AC and no hot water. You sleep in lovely teak and rattan cottages with mosquito nets and plenty of fans. Which means this is a chance to experience what SE Asia was like 40-50 years ago (and of course the same way lots of locals live today). The food is terrific, prepared for you personally by very attentive staff. There’s kayaks, SUPs, and plenty to do—fishing, cooking classes, massages, etc. It’s all very affordable. Trust me, you won’t want to leave. This is one of those places you never forget.
