Hotel Iris is a nice little hotel that I stayed at as the base for rewilding hikes run by Much Better Adventures out of Pescasseroli in Italy. The shower was good water pressure, the beds comfortable, housekeeping visited the room every day. The restaurant we ate at for most breakfasts and dinner had polite and helpful staff and there was a nice selection of food to choose from. I'd stay there again! Lots of great mountains to hike and trails in the surrounding area. The town itself is about a fifteen minute stroll from Hotel Iris.

Great location, excellent breakfast , friendly and helpful staff... but rooms in need of soundproofing , you can easily hear everything in the surrounding rooms. Not to mention the wooden headboard which is very uncomfortable for Tv watching.

This is a wonderful family operated place to stay. Beautiful scenery, caring staff, and absolutely delicious food. We had relatives in the area that we had never met and they went out of their way to help us find them. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Highly recommended!

Our family of 4 adults had a great stay at Hotel Iris for 2 nights. This is a lovely rustic stay on the edge of town. The breakfast was great, and we even enjoyed dinner at the restaurant both nights - they offer simple but well-prepared meals that are just what you want after a long day of touring. The rooms are basic, and without AC but were comfortable enough for what we needed. We also enjoyed have evening drinks by the pool, surrounded by nature. Special thanks to Alex for all his help throughout our stay - he was always there from breakfast through dinner to help us with any questions (or translations) we needed.

Iris Hotel is an excellent 3Star hotel. The rooms are reasonably well equipped and comfortable if a bit basic. The restaurant is not brilliant. After eating there the first night we went out ever other night. Our stay was three nights. Whilst the hotel was basic the staff and management were amazing. One of our number was taken ill whilst we were there but two of the staff took her to the local clinic and made sure she was seen, acted as interpreters and took them to the Pharmacy. After this they helped us with restaurant choices and bookings and advised us on walks through the national park. Go there the staff will make your stay in the Abruzzo national park a much better experience.
