Aiva Hostel

The Aiva Hostel is a cozy place, where everyone is welcome. It was centrally located between the Bishkek Railway Station and the Ala-Too Square. The Check-In went smooth and I went to my room, which are 2-bed-bunkbed rooms with curtains. The room itself is tiny, whereas the bed is spacious, even for a tall man like me. There are lockers inside the rooms as well as at the entrance. Bathrooms are splitted into men and women, they were almost clean, spacious and above Hostel standards. The community are provides books and games to play. There is a microwave and a cooler, where you can store and prepare your food. If you need snacks or drinks (besides the free tea and water), you can buy them easily there as well as consumable stuff like shampoo, slippers and many more. You get a sandwich plate as breakfast (unfortunately not vegetarian). The reception was friendly, but not always able to reply in English. The most bothering thing was the noise level at sleeping time or even during the night (e.g. loud conversations, loud doom scrolling, smashing the doors, opening the lockers) and the heat in the rooms. So I had problems to find some good sleep. Other than that the Hostel is highly recommendable.
