Discovery Hotel

Overall good for value. The hotel is not new but it's clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly good. The restaurant wasn't a big one but served a wide variety of tasty food. Location was not as convenient as we expected though.

The hotel has a chronic shower drain issue. But the receptionists, all of them were very kind. The room was cleaned up everyday properly.

The quality was about what I expected for the price. The room was not dirty, but the age of the hotel was quite noticeable. The amenities were very basic. There was not enough toothpaste, and I had to ask for a second toothbrush for the second night. Also, there was no room cleaning service during my stay. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of dishes. However, the food was quite heavy and filling for breakfast, so it may not be ideal for those who prefer a light breakfast. On the positive side, the reception staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful.

Spacious room and bathroom, ok breakfast, location is a little outside of the central district, good service and cleanliness. Some of the Chinese guests are smoking in the bathroom regardless of the warnings and fines, regardless of the designated balcony on each floor reserved for smokers and a nice patio in front of the hotel. My suggestion to the hotel is to put signs in the Chinese language and to organise a breakfast buffet with more simpler dishes instead of complicated baked cheese-topped combinations.

nice hotel, good location. it is around 10 min to city center by car and only 15 min walk to shopping mall. price is good

I like verry goog clining

This was my second stay at the hotel and I would not recommend if you are sensitive to smoke smells. The hotel seems to cater to many Chinese tourists whom seem to smoke quite a bit despite the hotel being non-smoking. Management should try to fix the problem. When we complained; they said there were no more rooms and offered no solution. Only when pushed they claim they would help, which was only an open window, and it did not make a major difference. Also location is sub optimal, you needed a taxi to go anywhere meaningful. Also hotel seems quite dated but basic amenities were there. Simple breakfast.
