I want to take a moment to appreciate the amazing service we received from Mikiyas Asamere during our recent visit to Kuriftu Resort in Bishoftu. Mikiyas was our waiter, and from the moment we arrived, he made our experience truly special. He served my family and me with such genuine warmth, passion, and respect—it was clear he takes great pride in his work. Whether it was remembering our preferences or simply checking in with a friendly smile, Mikiyas went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay. His professionalism was outstanding, but what stood out even more was how sincerely he cared about creating a positive and memorable experience for us. It’s rare to come across someone who blends hospitality and kindness so effortlessly. People like Mikiyas are the reason places like Kuriftu feel more than just resorts—they feel like home. Now in adays,cause of customer floods at hotels in Bishoftu, many have sufered from fully booked and call answering problem. In this regard,kuriftu Bishoftu is still at its real proffessional customer care and reception service. In my stay,I really wanna say thank you Mr. Kaleab(Night manager) and Betty(reception). Stay blessed!

We stayed here as part of a family package, which was supposed to include lunch upon arrival, we were told otherwise, only to be informed the next day that lunch was in fact included but no compensation or refund was offered. The overall cleanliness and condition of the accommodation were horrendous. Rooms and beds were not clean, bathroom doors lacked proper privacy, there were insects in the rooms, no heaters were provided despite the weather and there was no internet in our room. Also, the roof leaked when it rained. The gift shop experience was frustrating. Zeina attempted to overcharge us by writing over the price tags with a pen, which felt dishonest. We also experienced pricing dishonesty when ordering food what was quoted by phone didn’t match what the waiter later requested, it felt like instead of being welcomed, people tried to rip us off in any way possible. Also the pedicure was very bad which led to cuts and wounds to one of my family members. To top it off, after checking out we were asked to pay for our stay again, despite having already paid in full through our tour operator on day one. This level of miscommunication shows unprofessionalism and chaos within the management. That said, we did have one standout experience the lunch at the Cabana Restaurant. Abel Tariku and Hasab Akefa gave us a warm welcome and excellent service. The food, prepared by a female chef, was delicious and they even helped clear the table quickly so they could take a memorable family photo for us with the lake in the background. Their hospitality was a bright spot in a disappointing stay.
