The Bay Horse accommodated a large group for Sunday lunch as we were all staying in nearby lodges. We were seated on separate tables but all in the same intimate area. Everyone said it was the best Sunday lunch they’d had in a long time. Great choice of meats available cooked to perfection. It was all absolutely delicious and served promptly by lovely and friendly waiting and bar staff. A perfect ending to our weekend!

Just popped into the Bay Horse for a quick drink this evening, lovely roaring fire, great atmosphere. Sunday lunches are always very good and good value. Need to give a specific shout out to Katy behind the bar, she was the perfect host!!!!!!

We went in Christmas Day for drinks and got a really warm welcome so decided to book for Sunday lunch, the welcome wasn’t great this time a rude lady in black was behind the bar. The young man who served us was great (Will) the Sunday roast was lovely . It was the conversation from the lady in black that spoilt our visit and we decided not to have another drink. Making comments about customers she should learn to keep comments to herself, the comment about vegetarian give them a trough to serve there lunch. Not acceptable. Shame she spilt our overall experience.

Gone down hill massively , pub was cold , lipstick all over wine glass , we don't eat meat and was told we had to pay exactly the same price for just veg , parsnips and roasties where hard , dinner was served on an ice cold plate so was freezing immediately Veg used to be seasoned , today it was bland not sure what's happened but won't be going back

We have been here a few times and never been disappointed the Sunday diners are really tasty come out hot, plenty of meat, extra gravely and plenty of veg. This time we got sides mushy peas and cauliflower cheese both great. I had a pint of Poretti which was decent my wife had a glass of wine again good. It’s was really busy which is always a good sign. We plan on returning for a mid week meal some time soon

Very disappointed. Booked Sunday lunch. Told only 2 portions of gammon available. No extra side dish of cauliflower cheese available. Veg that came with the meal was not enough for 6 people, had to ask for more! Staff offered no sauces, had to ask & wait for mint sauce. No Shiraz available ( not had any since Friday)! Told all that was left on the dessert menu was 3 portions of bread & butter pudding or some rice pudding. No ice cream for 2 children! They serve from 12-4pm. We booked for 2.30pm. If you want a full choice of menu then you need to book early or be left with the scraps! Staff very inexperienced. Not the best family day out

I was one of 14 walkers who descended on the bar for lunch. Very pleasantly surprised by the professional but very friendly staff and attention to detail. Very much a "pub lunch" but excellent quality and value, with a good selection of ales available. Spotless toilets, always a good marker!! Plenty of parking and outside seating on a terrace.

We have just arrived and was greeted by Mary who is 92. Wonderful lady with a great sense of humour. We are in toom 6 and is tastefully decorated with a walk in shower and a huge bed. It is situated in a great location with plenty to see and do. Danny and Gwen Liverpool
