The Savoy Hotel

We only stayed 1 night met by reception staff young and not very welcoming , on entering the room it was shabby to say the least , wallpaper ripped off and a large crack on bathroom floor the tea tray had not been lifted there was old spilt tea underneath , we felt we didn’t want touch anything , on leaving the two young girls on reception just said thank you didn’t even ask if everything had been ok , they say you get what you pay for but cleanliness doesn’t cost anything

All the staff i encountered were polite and efficent. The sun was shining 3 days out of 4, and the accomodation suited my needs. Thank you

The staff were polite and informative if you asked where to go or behind the bar. The lounging rooms were comfortable. The room was dirty though especially the bathroom floor and the window sill in the bedroom. The sink had a crack on it. The bathroom window had no curtains and overlooked the car park and motorhomes. Nice sea view from room.

Dust in the room and bathroom ceiling leaking and tripped and fell and hurt my ankle . Not happy

The bed had a chunk missing out of it and mould around the shower . Windows were very dirty and the net curtains were dirty also . Cleaners come in our room without knocking then left when they realised the room was occupied. We had no soap in the shower to wash had to ask that evening if someone can fill it for us to take a shower . Toilet had stains needed bleach down it . No entertainment at night we booked it as advertised with evening entertainment . Bed was comfy but won’t stay there again .

I know you get what you pay for, but it wasn’t cheap. Bath was dirty and had the previous people’s hair in. Cups still had coffee in. No tea bags/coffee sachets/sugars. The towels had bad stains on. I selected a quiet room away from the lift and we were put in the room directly outside the lift/next to the door for the stairs. Every time the door opened it banged, and every time it closed it slammed so loud you could actually feel it, and I’m not even exaggerating. This went on until 3am and eventually we got up and blocked the doors with our towels. Won’t be back for sure!

Issue with hotel. I would like a refund we got put into a room that someone else was using, with shopping bags, hairbrush and lipstick when confronted the receptionist and they said oh that was my mistake that was a day saving which made me feel uncomfortable and then we got moved to a smaller room with hairs in the bath and windows that couldn’t be opened on a warm day. I would like a full refund as this behaviour is unacceptable as it implied the room was being used just for the day and wasnt being cleaned
