Where do I start, we stayed less the 1 hr before checking out. We had 2 rooms and both were disgusting, these rooms were filthy and unsafe. The doors were held together with expanded foam, the light switch panels spun around. Health and safety in this place is a joke. The bathroom, well i didnt even want to use the toilet, never mind the filthy shower. Neither the bathroom or bedrooms has ever seen a hoover, never mind a mop. The bed had stains on it and the wall paper was coming off. To think of eating a meal there knocked me sick, if this was the standard of cleaning that could be observed imagine the kitchen. The people who we checked us in with looked like they never seen a bath, imagine the food hyigene. Needless to say *********** have been informed but reading the reviews this isn't the first time. Obviously this owner is scamming people taking their well earned money. I have all intentions of contacting trading standards tomorrow, how this place has a licence is beyond me. I am fully aware we didn't book the Ritz but just expected somewhere clean and safe. I feel we've been robbed, do your self a favour and save your money, you don't know what you would catch from this place.

Booked this hotel as was going to Blackpool for air show, seen it on ***********, pictures of hotel looked really good and price was £49 which incl breakfast and evening meal, I rang hotel to question price as seemed to good to be true, I was told that it was correct so I booked for one night. OMG it certainly was to good to be true, room was absolutely disgusting, dirty walls, stain on ceiling, lamp shade had never been cleaned, bare plaster around door, filthy skirting board, bedside tables looked like they had been taken out of a skip. Then checked the bathroom, absolutely unbelievable, paper hanging off the wall, need a step to get in the shower, again stains on ceiling. Another couple checked in at same time, they actually knocked on our door to ask what our room was like as theirs was exactly the same. We all went to reception to complain to be told they were fully booked. I said I wanted to see owner "Steve" she said he is not here he will be here later, I said when she said "dont know later", we never seen him. I asked for a refund, she said you have to go through ***********, I said I didnt book through them, she said I couldnt have one as till would be down!! Didnt eat in the hotel as from the state of the room, wasnt sure whether kitchens would be clean enogh to serve food. I will be going through other channels to get this hotel shutdown it is that bad. Whoever is writing good reviews must be family members.

I wouldn't even rate it a one star very disappointed. We checked out a day early The room was cold damp moulded absolutely everywhere. Fixtures and fittings loose the wall paper was hanging off the walls. The skirting boards coming away from the walls. Holes in the walls could go on very run down and tired

Apart from the meals, both evenings and breakfast, this hotel isn't good at all. The meals were really lovely, but the rest of the hotel, oh dear, oh dear, firstly, the chap who greeted me to check in was quite short with me when I asked him about where we could park, then we went up to our room, it looked pretty much like it was a project yet to be finished, the door frame in the bathroom was not finished, the basin tap was loose, the shower we couldn't get hot water, and above the shower was a plug, yes an electric plug in the bathroom and a hole in the wall, non of the windows seem to shut properly, the radiator was permanently on, and because of where the control was, behind the unit, you couldn't turn it down, admittedly it had a chandelier and some nice curtains, and to top it all, the fire alarm went off at 5 45am which was very Scary, no one from the hotel came to our aid, good job it wasn't a fire, we'd all have been burnt to a crisp.

Unsure what the barrage of disgraceful comments relates to. It seems some people pay poundland prices and expect waitrose standards. Here's my review. The rooms are small and basic but have everything in them needed for a comfortable stay. The room is comfortable with a comfortable mattress and fresh bedding on. We found the room to be a comfortable temperature and had no issues with being cold or too hot. The en suite is clean with a nice hot shower. WiFi is provided free of charge, and the network connection is strong and able to be used without an issue. All the staff we have come across have been kind, friendly, and accommodating. Complenetary tea tray provided with free refills to help yourself to. Smart TV in the bedroom which is a bonus, plenty of plugs around the room. Bar area is lovely with a real niche vibe. Can't comment on the food as haven't eaten here but it smelled lovely. We parked In the big car park behind golden mile so no issues with parking. Overall great experience and will definitely be back.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in! Dirty, mouldy, freezing cold, beds sheets dirty from previous guests! Over priced and rude ignorant staff and owners…..breakfast cold! Cost over £100 for 1 night for 4 of us would never stay here again! This place needs to be on slum landlords cos it’s more like a HMO!

Looks great from the outside. Parking £10 , should be free for residents surely. Whole hotel smelled so strongly of sewage , especially in the reception/bar area . Walls and banisters abso filthy and full of holes . Our room had had a recent " refurb" I think compared to the rooms in the rest of the party we travelled with. I use the word refurb lightly , because the paint work was shoddy, beds the most lumpy uncomfortable I've ever slept ( or tried to) on . Old water left in the kettle, sink with no plug, no room to use the toilet comfortably, filthy shower cubicle and drains . Bedding was full of hairs and actually made me itch . There were occupied caravans right outside the window , im talking 6 inches away and the view i had was the occupants in their kitchen area pracically nose to nose with me if the curtains were open .We used it as a base for 1 night thankfully no longer than that or I'd have refused to stay
