Went for the Carvery on a Sunday lunchtime and I must admit it was a wonderful experience. The decor is stunning, the coffee delicious and the Carvery outstanding. The meat was cooked to perfection (as were the vegetables). Generous portions too. The staff were lovely. We will be going again soon.;

Staff were lovely, plenty of parking, the rooms were great with plenty of storage, modern facilities and we were provided with 2 fans which were a godsend in the heat. Location stunning and only half an hour or so drive away from Snowdon - Couldn't fault it!

Good breakfast selection. We ate in the restaurant a couple of evenings during the stay. It was a nice meal. Lovely warm fire in the bar/restaurant area. Nice outside area with beautiful views. Next to a Zip World. Would definitely recommend!

We booked in with family for two nights for a visit to Zip World at Penryhn Quarry. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard. The staff were welcoming & helpful. Bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds &pillows. The log fire in the bar & dining room was very welcome even in June. Our only criticism was that the buffet breakfast was cold on both days. The food was hot when coming from the kitchen but the heaters weren’t on & the plates were very cold. By the time we got back to the table everything was cold except for the sausages. Obviously hold the heat better due to density. This stopped me giving 5*

This comfortable, quiet and welcoming hotel was an deal location for a Ziplining experience with the venue 300 yards away! Super quiet and comfrotable room with gorgeous mountain views. The staff were friendly and welcoming❤️ Enjoyed an evening meal in the relaxing dining area

We cannot fault the room we had. Modern, freshly decorated and with a very comfortable super king bed. Also our room had good views towards Blaneau Ffestiniog. However, the restaurant was very disappointing offering only a poor/limited range of processed food (pie and mash; fish and chips; burgers etc.). Also, the service at breakfast was very, very, slow/poor. Clearly most of the (minimal) staff had not received hospitality training (or they had forgotten about the importance of customer service). It is such a shame as this historic, lovely, hotel could be so much better if they employed chefs and offered, for example, traditional Welsh dishes. So, to summarise, a good place to stay but possibly look elsewhere to eat

What a fantastic night's stay we had at this modest but beautiful hotel. The staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble . The food was beautiful, it's a simple menu but plenty of choice and the breakfast was perfect . The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and sleeped like a log .

Really lovely stay at the hotel. Made the feel incredibly welcome by lovely staff. Hotel was really comfortable, warm and spacious. Room was immaculate and the room facilities were of an excellent standard. We could walk to zipworld from there and the town centre was a 25 minute walk. Definitely going to be staying there again. Great value for money on the evening meals and very good quality food. I found the breakfasts a bit expensive for what they were and would definitely get a breakfast included price next time I go. Very central to snowdonia national park.
