After a nightmare day with a broken down car we booked in here last minute. Had a fabulous time. Vic and his wife are lovely and made us feel very welcome. Very understanding about the mix up with the key …. Sorry again for that stress lol. Would love to return, if ul have us lol.

Impromptu stay after having car issue. We made a last minute reservation, very accommodating. Met with a very warm welcome to this quirky hotel. Clean rooms, lovely bar with fire, fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Will be back.

I'd booked 2 nights in September but we were unable to travel as my husband had a heart attack and cardiac arrest a few days prior to our visit. I contacted the hotel who refused any refund, unless someone else booked the rooms. I asked about having a credit with the hotel to use at a later date, but this was also refused. Extremely unhelpful.

I visited the vic for the weekend of my stag do with about 14 of my friends, we stumbled across it by chance but it became our favourite spot over the weekend. The owner and his wife could not have been more welcoming despite the fact we were in a big group. One of my mates is a genius on the guitar and the owner was good enough to let him play a few songs and let us all sing along. I’m the first to admit we were a bit rowdy but the owners handled it in their stride and seemed to genuinely enjoy our company. There is a lounge/ pool table/ dart board through the back which we had some great tournaments on and the way we were treated despite the size of our crowd was fantastic and can’t thank them enough.

Cumfy bed, nice bathroom, lovely room with beautiful big windows for lots of light. Tea, coffee making facilities with a nice little snack. Really nicely done up.Really friendly host. Don’t judge a book by its cover, as photos don’t do it justice. Would stay again.

Very centrally located hotel in Blairgowrie Beautiful room ,lovely en suite bathroom shower,bath,bidet and toilet,4 poster bed, clean linen, host was really pleasant and the price was excellent just under £100 for the night, would stay again if we found ourselves up that way again

We booked a family room here as a stopover as my daughter was competing at Braemar Gathering, never again! We arrived back from dinner to find a DJ playing in the bar below our room which we weren’t told about when booking, we then had to put up with pounding music till 12.30 in the morning. Absolutely no interest from the guy who checked us in and couldn’t be bothered to respond to emails sent by my wife. The room certainly wasn’t worth what we paid but as it was Braemar weekend there wasn’t much available, bathroom had badly discoloured sealant, cracks in the ceiling and beds that looked like they were from army surplus. Then my wife got an email asking us to do a review, what a cheek! Unfortunately I can’t give a zero rating, if you are planning on staying here DO NOT stay in room 5 if it’s the weekend as unless you plan to spend the evening in the bar you won’t get any peace, we couldn’t even watch tv as the music was so loud.

Had an amazing stay and amazing staff. Fulfilled our needs and anything we needed they went above an beyond to do. Pub is underneath rooms so definitely recommend to group of friends or couple and get yourself a venom!! Vic and Asta for the win! definitely book again for great time.
