Friendly accommodating reception. Unit and bedding were clean. Garden and parking area were neat and attended to. Attention to detail is lacking Deteriorating Leaking hand shower. Toilet handle needs to be fixed One lounge chair’s seat needs to be fixed- rather remove the chair Gate motor were broken, security risk, not a comfortable situation Little Milk Carton was opened Soap bar was used Dispensing soap containers were nearly empty and broken

The most unfortunate place I have ever chosen to stay over at. Reasons: 1. There were no teabags in the selection of drinks 2. There were no milkpods or powdered milk available. I had to go out and buy some 3. The toilet seat was broken and we ended up sitting on the porcelain rim 4. The heavy steel gate at the entrance was broken and I had to open/close it manually everytime we went out. Upon returning from dinner in the evening there was an incredible storm and I got totally soaked opening/closing same. 5. The bed was so poor that when you sat on the edge you slid straight off 6. The day we left there was not a drop of water available to shower of flust the toilet. 7. The receptionist was standing in for a friend and was only interested in getting her lift back home This was really the worst place in Colesberg I chose to stay at. I expect an answer from the owners and monetary compensation would also not be amiss

It was advertised as a guest house and restaurant. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed! I have a feeling it’s not been operational for a while. The play area is a tetanus risk and the pool was probably last cleaned towards the end of 2019. Not too long after the fridge was cleaned! We had a stop over as part of our CT to JHB trip and were given a takeaway menu as an I don’t care the restaurant is closed. Unfortunately the bistro Allards in town also couldn’t care less so we were stranded in an advertisement lie! I have a feeling the really good reviews were circa 2000. There are undoubtedly better options.
