We were on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rate which gave a £50 contribution for dinner ( that could have been clearer at the time) and overall, this was a great pit stop for us. Lots of history to the hotel."

"Not the best view from the pavement but once inside the interior was well cared for. My room was upstairs on the second floor and although small it had all the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay. The room and shower room/toilet were spotless with huge fluffy white towels and a very good shower. The bed was very comfortable and cosy with the pillows and double duvet of the best quality. Large flat TV in the corner and a kettle and tea and coffee supplies nearby. Unfortunately I didn't know about the microwave which was available downstairs somewhere - next time I'll make use of it. When I got home I found out that I'd left my mobile phone cable and charger still plugged into the wall in the bedroom so I called and spoke to Eve who very kindly posted it to me on the next available day and refused to accept the postal charge ! Very nice lady indeed !! Keeps the place spotless !!"
