"Welcoming staff here who were very helpful and attentive to our needs. Food was a mixed experience with some enjoying their meal whilst other choices were rated as poor. The restaurant staff gave good service but breakfast was very overcooked. Beds here were ultra hard and the pillows were poor quality, flat and lumpy. We also had to cope with a route to the rooms where half the floor width was covered in plastic and pots catching drips from a leaky ceiling. Probably would not stay here again."

"The best meal I’ve had in ages! Absolutely delicious. Friendly, efficient staff, and I had two courses for £26.95, starting off with lentil soup with a warm bread roll followed by Seaview Mornay: pan-fried haddock with cheesy mash and seasonal vegetables. Top notch! Had a cup of tea afterwards and it came with home-baked shortbread. Amazing meal. I’ll be back!"

"Dropped in here for dinner after long drive North. Quite quiet initially, so we were seated in the lounge area which soon became busy with locals and lots of hungry golfers. Good menu with plenty of choice. Servings were BIG, well presented and very good - Cullen Skink, Steak Pie, Lemon Sole all hit the spot. Would certainly eat here again"

"Lovely little hotel, food was fab and staff were friendly and helpful x We had an issue with the TV remote they sorted it as soon as we asked. I would recommend the hotel replace the sofa bed in the flat it was awful, no springs left at one end, the thinnest mattress so you felt every spring that was left and we had to put a pillow in the big dip in the middle. Also they put what seemed like a single quilt in a double quilt cover. The bed upstairs was comfortable enough though so 2 out of the four of us managed to sleep. The location was perfect for our requirements, but there isn't much going on in the area at all. You are very close to Aldi and some nice little cafes and a few shops. There was entertainment but unfortunately as we had a traveller with us under the age of 18 we couldn't take up the quiz night or live music night as children needed to be out by 8pm. So it's definitely more for the older travellers not really for families with younger children."
