Kristall- & Vitalhotel Bergknappenhof

We came across the Bergknappenhof in Bodenmais by chance. Unfortunately we had to postpone our stay at short notice due to a corona infection, which was no problem at all and was reorganized super quickly and free of charge. We were then given a warm welcome and immediately received a welcome champagne. The hotel is conveniently located in Bodenmais and you can take the path directly to the Silberberg. The employees are all very friendly and make everything possible. Our room was great with a balcony - the glass door to the bathroom/toilet took a bit of getting used to, to be honest, but that didn't detract from it. The wellness area is super nice and the pool, which is open until 10 p.m., invites you to swim a few laps in the evening. The food far exceeded our expectations, both the breakfast and the afternoon meal as well as the dinner (6 courses) were phenomenally good. The lye pastries at breakfast were some of the best things I've eaten so far. At dinner you can choose from different dishes for the main course, so there is something for everyone. We'll definitely come back again at some point, it was just really nice and we can really recommend the Bergknappenhof without reservations.

The rustic hotel is lovingly designed with lots of decoration and a mining atmosphere. The large buffet for breakfast, afternoon snack and evening salad is delicious. The food menu is also tasty. The staff is friendly, could be a little more attentive here and there. The hotel has a large wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel is located on the edge of Bodenmais, right on the entrance road, next to the Shell gas station. Behind it is the large lawn. The rooms are rustic and in our suite the upholstered furniture is definitely ready for professional cleaning as there were already small red mites on it. Overall, the rooms are quiet and well-equipped.

We stayed at the Bergknappenhof for a weekend. A very warm welcome, we were shown everything straight away: the changing room, restaurant, etc. The room was very large, super clean and had everything you needed. The separate toilet is perfect. Wellness area is very nice and there are always free places. It's a shame that no infusions are offered. The restaurant offers a lot, but some of it is a bit old. Service could be a little more attentive, both at breakfast and during the afternoon snack. By 3 p.m., half of all the salads had already been eaten and were no longer refilled. Evening dinner was great, nothing to complain about here. All in all, a very nice wellness hotel that I certainly won't visit for the last time.

Zimmer sehr geräumig, gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Sehr gut geschlafen. Hotelausstattung passt in den Bayr. Wald und zum Namen. Vom Frühstück über Nachmittagbuffet bis 5 Gang Abendessen super lecker!!! Gesamtes Personal sehr freundlich und kompetent. Wellnessbereich sehr schön.

Ein sehr gutes Hotel zum Weiterempfehlen! Wir waren zweimal, einmal mit Freunden, Gäste und sehr zufrieden. Die positive Atmosphäre im Haus spürt man von der Rezeption bis zum Zimmermädchen. Es gibt kein " aber ". Ein Haus, bei dem immer Liegeplätze frei sind und nicht rücksichtslos belegt werden.

ACHTUNG: NEUE GÄSTE UNERWÜNSCHT! Wir haben heute 29.06. gegen 14:00 Uhr wegen unseres Silvesterurlaubs persönlich vorgesprochen und haben eine eiskalte Abklatsche erlebt. Silvester dürfen nur die Stammgäste im Hause verbringen und die haben auch Vorrang und werden bei den Buchungen bevorzugt. Dies wurde uns in unfreundlichem Ton erklärt. Auch im nächsten Jahr wäre das so. Nachdem die "freundliche" Rezeptionistin dann erfahren hat das wir eh in der Gegend wohnen könnten wir ja dann ganz spontan anreisen. Ah als Lückenbüser wären wir dann gut genug. Die Dame hat keinerlei Anstalten gemacht uns als neuen Gast anzuwerben, sondern immer nur erklärt was nicht geht. Zum Glück durften wir diesen "hervorragenden" Service bereits beim Nachmittagskaffee genießen indem mein Mann nach 20 Minuten erst einmal den Kellner suchen musste, der sich dann recht unwirsch an unseren Tisch bemühte. Einen derart abweisenden und unfreundlichen Service sind wir nicht gewohnt und haben es auch noch nie weltweit erlebt. Nach dieser Schlappe werden wir dies hier allerdings nicht tun. Wir kommen und buchen nie wieder, versprochen.
