Loboc River Resort
4.4/565 Reviews
I read a lot about this hotel, both good and bad. There were many doubts, but nevertheless curiosity overcame and we booked 2 nights there. The first impression of the hotel was immediately positive. Polite staff, beautiful territory, neat comfortable rooms (separate houses with a separate entrance). Silence! Coziness and comfort. In general, extended the same day for one more night. We didn't have a safe or fridge in our room, but that didn't bother us. We calmly left our things on the open terrace and closed valuables in a suitcase. Breakfast at the hotel from 7 to 10 buffet. I liked everything about breakfast! There is something for every taste lover. I was surprised that when the hotel was fully loaded, the pool always had a lot of free sunbeds and towels. The hotel itself is divided into 2 parts. Each has its own pool and it turned out to be very convenient. At the hotel, we freely took a bike and rode sharks, chocolate hills, and watched tarsiers along the way. The location of the hotel allows you to go around everything in one or 2 days! To sharks 30 minutes on a bike, to hills 40-50 minutes. This is at a speed of 40 km per hour. There were just three of us on the bike, so they didn’t drive much) We ate all the time at the hotel. The menu is designed for vegetarians and Europeans and Asians. Unless he found sushi. I ordered meat, it seemed overcooked, but the taste and color, as they say. The sea food there is delicious, but the fish steak seemed a bit dry. Carbonara pasta is excellent, C-grade cocktails, they are painfully diluted. But I can say this in almost all the Philippines. And in Elnido and Cebu and Bohol. This restaurant is popular, even groups sail there by boat, so it’s better to choose the time either before the group or after, who will have to wait a long time for the order, as it was once with us)) In general, for 2 - 3 days, that’s it, then you want to go to the sea, but it’s far from there. People don't swim in the river. From tips: 1) You need to go to Sharks in the morning. We went there at 7 am, without breakfast. We returned at 9 and had breakfast discussing our impressions. The ticket was taken on the spot 1500 pesos per person. Expensive but trust me it's worth it. It is better to take coral slippers with you, because you will have to walk over stones to get to the boat. Someone swam in fins, they can be rented on the spot. Be sure to have something to shoot in the water. I shot on my phone in a waterproof case. It turned out cool! Ask for a vest in size, it will just be more comfortable to swim. We didn’t take T-shirts and other souvenirs with sharks, but we didn’t see any more of them, so take them there. Personal items can be taken with you in a waterproof backpack. But the boats are very small, reminiscent of a large kayak, there is very little space there. We left our backpack in the place where we were instructed. 2) when traveling to the chocolate hills, plan to visit the zip line by bike. It's really cool. We went cycling and surfing. All together cost 1000 pesos per person. The guide showed us the way from the site where we took the transfer to the hills, they leave the bikes there and either on foot or by transfer go to the hills. Take a shuttle for the hills. 100 pesos per person. One return ticket. For the same ticket you get a free umbrella from the sun. And it bakes very well there)) The room has Wi-Fi. Worked without interruption. Transfer to Panglao was taken at the hotel. It cost 1200 pesos.
717 Cesar Place Hotel

The price is very good and breakfast is also. The staff is nice. However, in 2 rooms, one has no window and the other has a noisy air conditioner. With other meals, you can pass. I ordered a burger, but it was not cooked well. I asked for the cooking well. The burger returned to me yet not cooked. In fact, it is the worst burger I eaten in my life. In fact, I didn't eat it, because I didn't want to be sick. They were about 4 servers, but no one thought to bring a glass of water.
Alona Hidden Dream Resort
3.2/514 Reviews
First if all, the place is located right on the main street leading to Alona beach, and it's very noisy day and night (for those who might care). Second, no Wi-Fi in the room, and barely working one on the porch, so you have to sit on a hard wooden bench in the pool area if you want to use internet. Third, when we arrived and checked in into our room with ”garden view” we found out that our view is the wall of the room in front, shared ”porch”, which is more like a narrow alley filled with hanging laundry. When we asked the staff politely about the ”garden view” mismatch, the two receptionists instead of offering a solution directly started to blame it on us, saying that we (I quote) ”didn't request a garden view”. In my understanding, if it's written in the room description, it's included, and there was no note about requesting it anywhere. Clearly, they just wanted to get rid of me without fixing anything. All I wanted is to be moved to another room. They didn't propose that, so I asked if they had another room with a proper porch available, they rudely said no, that's all we have and turned away. After I asked again if there is anything available tomorrow or the day after, or even a different type of room, finally with very annoyed attitude admitted that there is one tomorrow that we could move to. Clearly, my trust is already shaken, so I asked them to see the room first. They made a whole scene about this, but finally showed me the room next to ours, which was better. The restaurant has similar service. We ordered 3 dishes, it took 40 minutes for them to bring one of them, and it was wrong. We sent it back, waited another 15 minutes and finally got all our food, which was very mediocre. Really not with the price and the waiting. After all this we really didn't want to stay in this place, so we booked another hotel, and went to tell them that we will be checking out. Got shouted at again saying that our booking is not refundable. Forget it. Even the swimming pool, the only nice thing about this hotel, couldn't be enjoyed because of the construction next door. The workers would stare from the roof and one even got down and was peeping over the fence...
GV Hotel - Tagbilaran City

Two single beds, much like the type of Super 8 Hotel in our country, there is a shopping mall nearby, you can eat and go shopping, the first floor is a supermarket! The front desk helped me introduce a driver guide, chartered for a long time to go to the Chocolate Hills Eye Monkey, etc. It feels very good, you need to introduce it to you.

Ocean Suites Bohol Boutique Hotel
3.8/529 Reviews
The view of the ocean from the hotel was beautiful however the location is a little bit of a drive from town. Not many tricycles come by this area but if you ask the guards, they will help by calling one for you. The room my husband and I stayed in had tiny ants everywhere. Also, at night you will see little geckos hanging out on the wall. The breakfast in the morning that was included in our coat was very delicious!
