Courtyard Boise Downtown

The location and the staff make this a great Marriott property to reserve in Boise. It is in walking distance or an inexpensive Uber ride to a wide variety of excellent restaurants in downtown. The bar service here at the hotel is very good and the outdoor area is quite inviting. There is no pool, however a nice fitness center and guest laundry. Parking is great and complimentary. Our room was clean even if a bit outdated. The coolest amenity was the water dispenser & ice machine off of the lobby. Every hotel should offer this instead of water in a large jug of water at the front desk.

We were in town for the weekend. The room was dated, but large, clean and comfortable. The window overlooks a nice courtyard - nice to look at instead of a parking lot! It is walking distance to several restaurants, grocery and drug store. We would stay there again.

The staff were very friendly, the property is well kept, and the on-site bistro that included a limited Starbucks menu was surprisingly good! It’s close to the walkable and cute city center as well.

Convenient to Boise State. Fireplace going all day so comfortable. Granted a late check out since our flight was in the evening. So nice to have pump containers for shampoo, etc. maybe that’s the new norm!

During my recent visit to the Downtown Boise Courtyard as a guest of friends staying at the hotel, I had a mixed experience that left me with conflicting feelings. The occasion was the Wazu vs Boise State football game, and while I was looking forward to a pleasant evening with friends, the encounter with a bartender named Izzy dampened the overall experience. Izzy's rude behavior and lack of attentiveness, as she appeared more engrossed in her phone than in serving customers, was disappointing. Despite this, I still left a good tip out of courtesy. I must acknowledge the efforts of another staff member who worked diligently to compensate for Izzy's shortcomings, which was appreciated. As someone who frequently travels for work and often chooses Marriott properties, this experience has given me pause. It is essential for establishments to maintain high standards of customer service, and unfortunately, this was not fully met during my visit. While the efforts of the other staff member were noted, the negative impact of Izzy's behavior cannot be overlooked. I hope that the management takes steps to address such issues to ensure a consistently positive experience for all guests. As a guest of freinds who were staying at the Downtown Boise Courtyard, I can only rate my visit with 3 stars, with the expectation that improvements will be made to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I had a bit of a disappointing experience with the bartender at this hotel. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par as the drinks were not made well and the bartender seemed a bit distracted. It was not the most pleasant experience, as she also seemed a bit rude and unprofessional. It was also a bit concerning to see her spending most of the night on her phone and having her boyfriend come by, which was a bit of a distraction. In the future, I hope the hotel can provide better service in this area. The bartender I interacted with was a short blonde with grey eyes and had a tattoo of a third eye and flowers on her forearm. Despite this setback, I'm hopeful that the hotel can improve in this area.
