Grand Hotel Majestic Gia' Baglioni

Bologna City Center Bologna|0.34km from Chiesa di San Martino
The hotel is located on the main road of Bologna, across the road from the Cathedral. On the day of the check-in, a grand religious celebration is held, as it is close to the road and you can walk through the road to feel. The room is large, especially the bathroom, and it is no exaggeration to say that you can dance inside. There is an emergency alarm rope near the toilet and the shower. I have pulled two times in the unknown. I have to call the security immediately and need no assistance. It is quite professional and safe. The bathroom accessories are famous Italian brands, the quality is very good, they are brought back to China after they have not been used up, especially like it. The breakfast room was slightly crowded and the dishes were average, but there were even porridge dishes. Later, I learned that there were Japanese monks and local religious groups to hold a friendly relationship and cooperation ceremony during the stay. It was very interesting to walk from the hotel. The restaurant waiter also asked us about Chinese tastes and Chinese cuisine. Although the English communication between the two sides could not convey the essence of Chinese food, they communicated clearly with the help of the body language and imagination. The breakfast was really good. A cultural exchange platform, the restaurant waiter is also very friendly. In general, although it is not the best hotel in Italy, it is also a great place to experience.

Hotel University

We booked the hotel wg which is close to the student neighborhood. It is also walking away from the historic center, so optimal for beautiful dressing and restaurants as well as sightseeing. Nevertheless it is very quiet in the street. The price/performance ratio was correct. The room was OK, but above all very clean. The only “beauty error” is the dressing box, which was already very repairable. There was little room and the shafts need urgent renewal. The staff at the reception and breakfast area were very friendly. Equally in room service. Breakfast buffet was always filled and was appropriate. There is a small bar in the lobby. The hotel is recommendable. We would book it again.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in mid-August 2022. The hotel is perfectly located in the old city which is pedestrianised but taxis are allowed deposit and collect guests. The reception staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The lounge was airy bright and very comfortable with very efficient great air conditioning. The fabric of the building throught was beautifully maintained which obviously included our room where the bed and bedding was sumptuous and comfortable. The bathroom was large and well appointed and included a good range of toiletries. There were some dramatic rain storms at odd times so to find a large bin full of hotel umbrellas for guest use was a very pleasant and useful touch.

I do not like to bring down a company, but... I am sorry: this should not be a 3 star hotel. I give the benefit of the doubts and maybe I got the worst room in the entire structure, but... come on guys!! I had to spend only one night as I had to fly from Bologna, otherwise I would have asked to leave. Already the common areas are not great. I am not making it up: I attach the picture relative to the lights in the corridors. when were these cleaned last time? The room... the heating system was set to BBQ mode I guess. Luckily you can turn it off and the window can be opened. Dust everywhere (again: I posted the pictures of the side table, the inside of the cabinet, the safe). The wall paper is literally falling apart. The bathroom: badly maintained (see picture of the toilet and the shower). I had honestly no time to find a different hotel and ruin the last afternoon of my long weekend with my wife, so I digested the disappointment and I left the morning after. The breakfast… please check the cabinet and the appliances… seriously: you serve food in there! Strange: nobody asked at the check-out ”how was your stay?”... Now my question is: given the photo I am posting, how can the reviews on TripAdvisor be justified? I will stay away from this structure with no doubts in the future.
Hotel Accademia

We visited Bologna for the first time, and spent seven nights in Hotel Accademia and had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, and overlooked the courtyard so it was quiet. I enjoyed the location of the hotel, in the center and close to the university. The area had a great vibe and lots of energy, but I did not feel as though it was too busy or too loud at night. It was an easy walk to the center and lots of shopping, sites to visit, bars and restaurants. The staff was very friendly throughout the stay, helpful, and took great care of us at breakfast time. I love the typical Italian breakfast, and the options and coffees were perfect! A very pleasant stay indeed.

Breakfast is good, there are many options and the taste is more authentic. The room was small and the bedding was not very comfortable. The location of the hotel is very good, it is very close to the subway, train station, bus, very convenient, there are many restaurants downstairs.
