Yasuragi

Spa Experience: The hotel offers a serene and luxurious spa experience, with numerous guests praising its relaxing atmosphere and excellent service.

We recently stayed at Yasuragi, and while parts of the experience were absolutely lovely, others were unfortunately very disappointing. Starting with the positive, the spa area was genuinely wonderful. Everything was clean, the atmosphere was calming, and the pools and saunas had perfect temperatures. The location also felt peaceful, with a really nice vibe both in the evening and early morning. However, one thing that did take away from the relaxation was that many guests did not respect the quiet zones and were very chatty, which disrupted the otherwise serene environment. Still, overall, the spa itself would deserve a solid 9 out of 10. The room, on the other hand, was below average and felt more like something from a low-budget hotel. The corridors were extremely cold, and we were unlucky to receive one of the rooms located farthest away, making every trip to and from the room feel like a small ordeal. Inside the room, it was also quite cold, and the floor in the shower was freezing. On top of that, the shower drain was clogged, causing water to pool and float around for hours. For a hotel in this price range, this was very disappointing. Unfortunately, the worst part of our stay was the dinner at Minamo. We should have read the reviews beforehand, because the experience aligned with the negative feedback we later saw from other guests. The dinner was paid separately, not part of our package, and it turned out to be the most expensive dining option, yet also the worst in terms of food quality. The burger was, as another reviewer put it, terrible. I ordered my meat medium-well, but it arrived cold and raw, which was truly unappetizing. The chicken dish was blunt and lacked flavor, the garnish was watery and tasteless, and the mushrooms were unpleasant. Honestly, the only thing we enjoyed was the rice. We felt so disappointed and even slightly disgusted that we just wanted to pay the bill and leave as quickly as possible. Breakfast was served in the same restaurant, and while it was okay, it was nothing special. Considering the overall price level, we expected a more memorable or higher-quality breakfast experience. We did appreciate the thoughtful birthday surprise in the room with the message and the nuts, as it was a kind gesture. However, considering the overall price of the stay, including the separately paid dinner, the disappointing room and the extremely poor dining experience overshadowed the positive aspects. For these reasons, we would not recommend Yasuragi for an overnight stay that includes dinner plans. The spa is lovely, but the rest of the experience unfortunately fell far below expectations.

We stayed in the Ryokan and it was an absolutely amazing stay. Our Nakai-san (service attendant) was so sweet and lovely, the view was stunning, especially at night, and it was all in all an amazing experience. The room made it feel like being in a movie. The tatami mats to the low beds.⛩️ We loved having separate bathrooms and the huge storage space. The dinner served in the room was amazing too. Everything was perfect. Can absolutely recommend! If you get the chance to, stay in the Ryokan.
