"The lady at the counter was wonderful and greeted us kindly! She was sure to tell us that she and her coworkers were readily available if needed, and the different amenities that were not in the room. I wouldn’t mind going there again, it was a lovely experience. The room was comfortable as well, the bed was well made and soft and did not has a funky smell which I sometimes worry and have experienced with other hotels/motels. I do recommend!"

"Love this new hotel in Boone! As a Boone local, it felt like home coming back and staying here. The kitchen came in handy pretty much every morning. The room was super clean, staff very friendly, breakfast was solid, and they have board games to play if you’re traveling with a group. Highly recommend and will def stay here again next time we visit!"

The 1850 Hotel ★★

""Hotel" in the name as well as the website is a misnomer. It is "contactless"meaning no staffing at the hotel. The "staff" forgot to text my code to get in - this is more of an AirbnB vs. a "luxury boutique hotel." I was able to call and get a person but she texted the wrong code but finally got it right. The room is clean, construction is a bit quirky (shower door opens in and you have to crawl around it to get in the shower). At $527 a night with zero services, this is a poor price value in a small town. Also, the website says it has a "fully equipped fitness center" - this is not true. They had kettle weights, a couple of bikes, rowing machine? It would cost very little to minimally add a rack of free weights."

"It was quiet. The pillows and bed were comfortable . Now the other stuff: The tub was rusty and cracked at the faucet, the table by the bed had not been wiped down it had some kind of splattered drink or something on it, the refrigerator was iced up, the sheets were loose not tight so looked like someone had sat on the bed and took a break and had a soda or something because of the spill. I arrived late and the clerk was an *****, I was ready to get my prepaid room and crash but he made me wait for a manager because he didn’t know how to check me in. 30 minutes!!! I was getting angry because I have used trips.com many times before and it’s easy check in, but not this hotel! The door to the patio was propped open, I told the manager because he walked right by it and didn’t notice. He closed it then said why they left that open. I didn’t eat breakfast because it’s severed by the area of the open foot and that’s a bit nasty to me because bugs in July will be inside for any open door. Overall the price for a work trip was ok and I’m here to work not vacation so it was ok"
