Been to Boracay three times and have tried five different hotels, but this was the first time we ever decided to change hotels—not just in Boracay, but in my entire life of booking hotels.
We originally booked for four nights but ended up staying for only one night because we simply couldn’t bear it anymore.
We were assigned a room that was extremely noisy. We could hear loud party music from inside our room, and aside from that, we could clearly hear conversations from both guests and staff outside. There was also visible mold in the bathroom, the air conditioning was not cold enough, and there was dust everywhere. The telephone in the room was not working, and even the air-conditioning remote was not functioning properly. Unfortunately, we experienced the same issue with the aircon remote even after we were transferred to a new room.
We paid almost ₱3,400 per night, which is not cheap at all. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Boracay for much less and had a better experience. We ended up paying almost ₱13,500 for four nights, only to leave after the first night because of how poorly managed the hotel was.
I do want to acknowledge Ralph, the concierge who assisted us that night. He was very accommodating and transferred us to another room later that evening. He apologized, and we told him it was okay because we knew it wasn’t his fault. We also told him that we had already booked another hotel and would still be transferring the next day. At that point, we were willing to just let the whole experience pass without leaving a negative review.
However, the next day made things worse.
Since we had already paid for four nights with no refund, we stayed until around 3 PM before checking out. The checkout process took around 30 minutes, and then the concierge assisting us told us that we had consumed a ramen noodle from the room. First of all, there wasn’t even any ramen in our room to consume. After already paying ₱13,500 and staying for only one night, being told that we were going to be charged for something that wasn’t even in our room brought all the frustration back.
Thankfully, we chose to move to another hotel for our own peace of mind, and it was definitely the right decision.
The overall design of the property is also inconvenient, especially if you have luggage. You have to carry your luggage through areas near the pool and deal with stairs. The pool itself was dirty and smelled heavily of chlorine. The sand along the beachfront directly in front of the hotel was also not the fine white sand you usually expect in Boracay—it was more pebbly, and you had to walk farther to enjoy the finer white sand.
The location is also at the far end of Station 3, which makes getting an e-trike or going out to find food less convenient.
Overall, the vibe, location, room condition, cleanliness, amenities, and service experience were disappointing. Aside from Ralph, who genuinely tried to help us, I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.
We came to Boracay to relax and enjoy our vacation, but staying here did the opposite. Paying almost ₱13,500 and choosing to leave after just one night should say enough about how uncomfortable the experience was. Glad we transferred hotels because our peace of mind was worth more than the money we had already paid.
Sorry, not sorry—but I would not recommend this place. It can seriously affect your overall Boracay experience.
