The best location. Old fashioned hotel. . We visited the hotel on 24,25,26 of December and spa gym was closed. No free car park. There is big car park 5 mins away by Walk. ( Central car park) 7£ all day Big restaurant , bar and lounge. Big meetings rooms Buffet breakfast 12,5 pp Lunch or dinner 25£ pp. Full recommended

The was very good size, the shower was nice, hot and powerful. The room didn't clean 100% clean however was ok. Location is very good, close to town and the Pier, the hotel bar was cool/chill (forgot take a pic)

Good Hotel

Absolutely loved the style and the tradition the ambience and the overall layout and atmosphere of the place it’s a shame it needs a paint job and some of the floorboards are squeaking on the west wing other than that beautiful beautiful hotel love every bit about the period style

Nice hotel to stay. But no one cleaning our room for 3 days, I book too room same price one was very small and another one good space.

Have always wanted to stay here. Sadly it's very dated in places. The first room I checked into was cold, it appeared that the heating was not working. Was offered blankets or change rooms. Opted to change room. 2nd room was unbearably hot but felt I couldn't complain again. Only one of the two small windows opened and the radiator had no controls to turn it down. The reception gave me no directions to get to either room location the hotel is a maze. Door staff on security were good and welcoming when getting back early in the morning and this was reassuring. Reception staff on check out were kind and happy to store our bags in the luggage room while we wandered round Bournemouth. For less than £50 for a Saturday night hotel it was as I expected.

Positive: Very friendly staff. The location is beautiful – both the city and the beach are easily accessible. We also received a complimentary room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated. Negative: Unfortunately, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The balcony, in particular, had not been cleaned. It was covered in a lot of dust, cobwebs, and bird droppings, which somewhat marred the overall impression.

The lack of telephones in the rooms added to the nostalgic vibe, making it feel like a bit of a "bhul bhuliyaan" (labyrinth), but in a fun, quirky way. The hotel offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. One of the highlights was the fantastic swimming pool, a great spot to take a dip and relax. The backyard, which was beautifully landscaped, provided a serene place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. What made it even more special was how close the backyard was to the beach—it was a short walk to the shore, and the beach views from the hotel were simply stunning. The views through the hotel were equally impressive, giving you glimpses of the ocean and natural beauty from various corners of the property. It’s the kind of place where you can just lose track of time, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with great views and a lovely atmosphere.

Good stay, quiet and comfortable — perfect for resting after a busy day. The only downside: the room was a bit hard to find.
