Manoir de la Salle du Roc

Super stay and excellent hospitality from the owners. Breakfast was fit for a king! The grounds are well kept and offer a perfect morning "pre breakfast" walk. All the rooms are of a period, very charming and exceptionally clean. The whole estate is interesting and full of history - including it's own cave settings. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Fabulous house full of charm and character in a private but accessible location. Olivier and Olga were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much and they made our stay an unforgettable experience. Breakfast and dinner (to order) were both fantastic snd we are already looking forward to returning to this amazing and quintessentially French environment.

We had a great time during our stay for Easter week-end. We chose the place for the charm of the building and the rooms and were not disappointed. It is also a great location to explore the area. But we found so much more than that: Olga and Olivier are the best of hosts ! They are a lovely couple who made us feel at home during our stay and we really enjoyed spending time with them. They also have a lot of recommendations to give to visit the area. Not to mention the delicious food and gorgeous breakfast prepared by Olga 🤩 they really go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a wonderful time. We will definitely come back to stay at la salle du roc !

This is a truly wonderful place to stay. The Josephine Room was sumptuously comfortable and absolutely stunning. Olivier and Olga are fantastic hosts and Olga’s dinner and breakfasts were a treat. The building itself, grounds and the network of caves are fascinating and it was a joy to explore and enjoy the beautiful styling and quirky objects! We loved our stay.

Arrived with the warmest of welcomes from the hosts Olivier and Olga. The location is peaceful but close to amenities. The house and gardens are spectacular with amazing views. We had dinner here 2 nights and I couldn’t rave enough about Olga’s cooking! The courses and wine were delicious and enjoying it in the orangery when the sun is setting by candle light couldn’t be anymore than magical. The beds were the most comfiest i have had the pleasure staying in. Peaceful mornings on the terrace were much needed in the sun. Couldn’t recommend here enough for a place to stay and will be back. Thankyou so much.

This is not just a hotel, it is an experience! Olga and Olivier cannot do enough for you and we would go back here like a shot! Breakfasts were exquisite, and the evening meal we booked in advance was delicious. We had time to use the pool, which was a godsend in the heatwave, and the Manoir is so well placed for visiting the Loire Valley. The room was beautiful, and we had our own sitting room as well - and two bathrooms! We were totally spoilt and it was a wrench to leave. Can't wait to return!
