The hotel is located in a secluded spot halfway up the mountain, so it might be inconvenient without a car; renting one would be best. Both the hotel's exterior environment and the room facilities exceeded expectations and were perfect. The hotel staff were also very nice, and I didn't encounter any negative experiences. Due to its high elevation, the hotel offers splendid views of Windermere Lake. The a la carte breakfast was also quite generous.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain with beautiful scenery, but getting in and out is a bit inconvenient. You either need to drive yourself or take a taxi. The hotel is quite old and has no elevator. Since we arrived early, we checked in, stored our luggage, and went out. By the time we returned to the hotel, our luggage had already been thoughtfully placed in our room. Because the building is old, the floorboards creak quite loudly when you walk in the room. The room has both heating and air conditioning. The breakfast buffet is quite simple, with juice, cheese, bread, yogurt, and some salami-like meats. You can also order an English breakfast from the menu. Unfortunately, the Michelin-starred restaurant was closed those two days, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the environment is good, and it's worth a stay.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful, truly flawless. It's perfect for a relaxing extended stay! The kids also had a blast playing all sorts of games on the lawn.

Linthwaite House is absolutely stunning. The estate is beautiful, and the private tarn on the grounds is breathtaking. Such a peaceful, magical spot in the Lake District. A perfect escape, highly recommend!

The most beautiful hotel in Windermere! The rooms have air conditioning, which is a common amenity back home but a rare find in the Lake District. The service is excellent, with 90% of the staff being incredibly warm and welcoming. The food is delicious, both breakfast and dinner were consistently good.

Just a heads-up: no smoking, or your deposit will be withheld if there's a smoke smell. I recommend paying the deposit in cash, as you'll get it back in cash, which is much quicker. Overall, it was a good experience.

depends on what sort of room you’re booking, if you’re booking the standard room the soundproofing isn’t really going well the customer service from the receptionist are great and generally well from all others except for a few staff who is handling baggages and maintenance but overall great stay

This is a really beautiful hotel. The location is excellent, about a 5-minute drive from the lake. The facilities are complete and well-equipped. It's very clean and tidy. The environment is top-notch, elegant and attractive. The service attitude is great. The hotel restaurant is super delicious. Friends visiting the lake district shouldn't miss this hotel.
