Alana was lovely and tried to make our stay special, but the experience fell short of the premium price. Breakfast wasn’t fresh, directions to the room were confusing, and the hot tub needed better cleaning. As it stands, we wouldn’t return.

We stayed here on Friday 8th of August, and we were incredibly disappointed with our stay. For the cost of one night, it was entirely a let down due to other guests. We figured out why we were given complimentary ear plugs. From 11pm until 6am, we had two elephants above us tap dancing, wrestling, throwing each other across the room and chasing one another up and down the stairs cackling like school girls. We didnt get a wink of sleep due to this, and the poor sound proofing and poor floorboards that clearly need replacing ASAP, we thought the elephants were going to fall through at one point. I was looking forward to a quick dip in the hot tub, to get in it for less than a minute and I came out in big red blotches and couldnt stop itching, it was horrendous. I often use hot tubs and have never experienced this. There is also no ventilation in the room either, so the second the steam room is opened, bath is run or hot tub is on, the entire room gets steamy and damp, even with the doors shut. The ceiling to floor mirror hadn't been cleaned and you could see evidence of somebodys wild night on it, hand prints and suspicious marks! We overlooked a hot tub, which was sheltered but you can still see people getting jiggy with it when you're walking up to the 'balcony', so there really was no privacy.. it was almost like we should have had upside down pineapples on our doors because we could see and hear everything. We also overlooked the workman's shack, yay, lovely view. The breakfast was standard, dry sausage, dry bacon, overcooked beans.. when the receptionist asked me how my stay was and I said 'not very good' I dont think she understood my English as she replied 'great, we hope you return soon'. The room was very dark, and looked like a red room. We stayed here 9 years ago and it was absolutely fantastic, but I wont be returning. It is in an ideal place, but you can definitely get cheaper and better. Its very run down in the hall ways etc and walls are very very thin, it seemed almost like I was staying in a hostel full of teenagers who have just discovered narcotics for the first time.

I’d give 10/10 if I could. Upon arrival all staff at every site (there are a few sections within less than a miles radius) are as friendly as can be. Everyone is informative and approachable. The room was better than the images, with all amenities as described. Clean and beautiful. Plenty of towels are provided. Easy & precise breakfast ordering system via a QR code inside the room. There are sockets for chargers at BOTH sides of the bed (a rare luxury I find), peaceful view & surroundings. Will 100% be returning, worth every penny. Perfect little getaway. (P.s if you are worried about it only being bed & breakfast, there are lots of little villages within a 5 minute drive with restaurants, cafes & takeaways. As well as arcades etc, plenty to do & see. And mini fridge is big enough to store a couples days lunches in)
