You may consider going if you are heading to the Silverstone racing facility. Price is attractive, but advise going elsewhere if possible. Overall, my rating was very poor - the rooms were old, were clean enough but there were several major issues that only warrant a one or two stars (I couldn't decide which, but decided to be generous). Firstly, as with many old buildings, the rooms are very noisy, with what seems to be paper-thin walls. It felt like I could take part in the conversations in the neighbouring rooms (occupied long-term by workers from abroad, apparently). Secondly, facilities in the rooms were marginal, with little additional support, and lots of beds in each room to encourage high accompany. Breakfast was very poor, so do not sign up for this. Overall, I really didn't like my stay and will never go back.

Popped in late morning, nice traditional inn. Had a drink, the place is filled with f1 memorabilia. Asked if they were showing the qualifying or the race “no” … disappointed really. Found it a bit odd. Didn’t bother looking at menu this time.

This is a review of the bar staff, not the hotel (I have stayed here before and it wasn't a good experience). We stayed for a couple of drinks, sitting outside so my brother could vape. We visited several pubs in the town and the friendliness of the bar staff here was so much better than everywhere else. Drinks were reasonably priced for an hotel but it was the smile and reception that we received that were most important. We will go back there first the next time we are in town.

The decor was old and bad , the rooms were very basic , the noise from the street and downstairs until 2 am was unbearable , the main lights in the room didn’t work, the receptionist although pleasant didn’t speak good English , no breakfast……..

The room was soo dated it looks like something from faulty towers, no TV remote in the room we had to ask for it and then it wasn't handed to me it was left on the bed ... This would of been ok but the remote looked dirtier than the carpets which where bad enough. The floor in the room was slanted it felt like the bathroom had a speed bump in it as I placed some shower gel on the shelves in the bathroom it fell off onto the floor. The shower did not even get warm we had it running for 15 minutes and it was still freezing cold. The beds where no better they where so uncomfortable I ended with severe back pain all day at a family funeral. The staff hardly spoke English which was fantastic when I was trying to explain a TV remote to them, the room was definitely not worth the £61 I paid no breakfast included absolutely disgusting coffee we needed going to Costa across the road. This place needs ripping out and starting again the place is a comedy of errors from the gentleman that works there to the non English speaking staff and the wonky floors the creaking doors and disgusting TV remotes, beds that create back problems and showers that freeze you to death. MY ADVICE IS AVOID THIS PLACE .......

infested carpet, dirty pre-war mattress, cockroaches and food waste under the bed, lights not working, stuff only seen at booking......I wouldn't let even a dog sleep in this rundown, dirty and disgusting hotel

We didn’t actually stay here but we went there on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for drinks. Service was really excellent. Very friendly and made us feel totally welcome. I had an Irish coffee one day and the house wine which was really good. The setting is cosy and comfortable.

Come on, it wasn't that bad! OK, there are things that could be improved. A mirror in the room, a shelf in the bathroom and shower cubicle, some milk for your tea, but the room was warm, the bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. The staff were polite and helpful and it was only £52 for a double room in December. Give them a break!
