The Swan Hotel

Very friendly check in Pleasant hotel with oldie features which were charming Value for money Good pub food or Thai menu Parking at the back Only negative room 5 Shower has no description on the dials to say which is which Temp or power and the instructions on the wall say how to use y using this method which is actually useless as you dint know which is power or which is temp Both seem to turn on and none seem to be the temp so for an overnight just has a wash at the sink. Front room means plenty of traffic noise as it’s on the main road through and on a hot day that room has to have the windows open.

What a shame this place is closing down! Have just finished a spectacular Thai curry which hit all the right notes. The jungle curry may have been a tad spicy for my other half but both meals were full of flavour. Would definitely have been back.

Pleasant Thai meal. 2 courses £56 with drinks in part pub, part restaurant, part hotel. Folk night mondays. Rumoured to be closing soon though , we understand. Landlord helpful and friendly Old building

The place was absolutely lovely. Me and liv were only disappointed there were no swans. We are familiar with hotel names. At The arnos vale hotel we seen arnos vale. At the Avon gorge hotel we can see the avon gorge. Almondsbury interchange hotel? Same. No swans at the swan hotem. Just to to warn you. Otherwise? Fabulous. Five stars!

An interesting hotel - shows some of its age - but that is expected considering the age of the building. I had no issues. Price was spot on. Clean, and comfortable. They provided basics in the room including Water - Still and Sparkling for free as a welcome gift [Bottle not free though! Ha]. If you have issues walk up steps then you need to reach out to them. Food at the pub was great - I had breakfast included in my reservation - very good food. Thank you to Oscar for his humor, customer service and professionalism. I stayed for 3 Days 2 Nights - no issues and if I needed anything they were all over the request in a timely fashion. Staff all positive, friendly and professional. Overall, I was very happy - I can get really picky about when I give 5 stars for a Inn or Hotel. This I gave 5 stars without reservation.

Mostly the Swan was good but we had a couple of issues. They closed the bar and indeed the front and back door at 9pm a couple of nights. Then out of the blue a couple of weeks later we got a parking penalty charge for the Tuesday in our Sunday to Thursday booking. I rang them, had to hang on for their "out of hours emergency response" and eventually someone replied and cancelled the PCN. But why on earth was it issued in the first place? Won't be going there again.
