During a trip through Branson I booked this hotel because it has a heated indoor pool and spa. It is off the beaten path and already felt creepy when I parked. At check in the employees seems unauthentic. I went up to my room to put my bags inside to go find food since this hotel does not have any food whatsoever except “breakfast.” There Inside the room on the desk was a Bible, opened to the book of “Psalms” with an envelope for a donation/tip. I did not request a Bible and did not want it on my desk so I took it to the manager “Savannah.” I asked her if they always leave guests bibles opened on the desks and she shook her head with an empathic yes. Her response was intended to gaslight me as if only a “lost sinner” would object to a Bible opened in their room with an envelope. The Bible is NOT a book I want to see, read or be used as a tool to manipulate me for any reasons including a donation. I reported this to trip advisor. Thereafter “Savannah” was hostile, did not attempt to resolve this matter, was catty, and the next morning at check out was practically mocking me and my friend. At breakfast there were only people (I assume guests) with bibles. We reported a foul odor on the fifth floor and Savannah was flippant. We reported that the hot tub jets don’t work and she was flippant. In my opinion this hotel (which is really just an oversized motel) sees their guests as a “mission field.” If you object to having religion pushed upon you it is personal and you will be psychologically smitten by the Bible believing hotel management! Religious zealots have attempted to gaslight me many times but never at a “hotel” where I’m a paying guest! I’ve stayed in many hotels but this experience tops the worst. Maybe they should just pray for their hot tub jets. I expect to book a hotel and be free from having religion pushed upon me. They only care about your mental well being if you accept their religious beliefs.
