The old furniture wasn't the issue, but the awful smell of dirty, old carpet and the additional stench from an unused shower were. The lack of soundproof rooms was also a problem—we could hear our neighbors arguing until midnight and starting again at 5 AM. We couldn't believe this hotel could have four stars. It casts a shadow on the DoubleTree brand. Simply cleaning the carpet and chair covers would have made a big difference. I added the second star for the small pool, sauna, and gym. The breakfasts were decent.

It was my best adventure in top hotel category: - based on my milk allergy extra meals were served for me during our business events - room, meals and personal as in a 5 star hotel - well organised service I worked for a french hotel chain, so I had a quite spread view not only from guest side, so: Thank you!

We just spent the weekend at the Bratislava Hilton Doubletree Hotel because we were attending a wedding in a small border village in Austria which was a 20 minute drive away. I did not know the best way to get there and return to the hotel late at night so I inquired at the front desk if the taxi service, "Bolt" would be able to take us. Lubica explained that since it was a small village it would probably be best to arrange to have a car take us and then pick us up at a pre-designated time. She proactively offered to arrange this for us and after I agreed with a large feeling of relief, she proceeded to do so. After making the arrangements, she gave me a business card with the phone number of the car service on it, in case we needed to call. I then asked the best way to get to the Vienna airport the next day and she helped us arrange a car service for that as well. Most importantly, both the car service to the small village wedding and the car service early in the morning to the airport came right on time and provided excellent service. We actually had to call the car service that brought us to the small village because the wedding ended earlier than we had anticipated. Even though it was late at night, they answered the phone right away and picked us up in exactly 20 minutes which was how long it took them to drive to us, if they had left immediately. Lubica stayed in touch with us every step of the way when making the arrangements to ensure everything went smoothly. She answered all my questions and concerns both in person and on the phone later, with patience and an upbeat attitude. I can not express my heartfelt appreciation enough for her attentive and outstanding service. As an older couple in a foreign land, we felt secure and well taken care of. Hilton management, if you are reading this, please give Lubica a raise!!

The room was nice and modern, bathroom great, and the bed and pillows excellent for a couple nights sleep. Comfy stay with not too long a walk to the train station and neighbourhood food outlets. In a decent part of town, easy access on Metro Line 61 which takes you to the main train station or to the airport, for only 1.10 Euro with luggage.

Upon check in i was greeted by very friendly staff. The large hall was very welcoming. The very spacious suite pleasantly surprised me, however I found some negative sides that I don't expect from a hotel like Hilton: the beds were not professionally prepared, the cleaning on the second day disappointed me as it was not removed a bag containing waste. Having worked for many years in hotels, I would like to give my constructive opinion, the housekeeping team needs little bit more training, this would make this beautiful hotel even more welcoming, the staff in the breakfast room and reception were impeccable. I recommend this Doubletree By Hilton Bratislava to anyone who reads this review, and will gladly return.

We stayed five nights and were upgraded to a suite. The suite was in excellent condition, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wlan in the room was fast enough to upload pictures and surf the net. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, yoghurt, egg station and several cold and hot dishes. Location was fine. Most sights could easily be reached by bus or tram.
