We have just enjoyed a gloriously sunny 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel.We visited a few years ago but since then the hotel, pools and spa have had a revamp and are now very plush ,modern and clean. We ate twice in the hotel and had great food and excellent service.The staff were polite and helpful. We visited theRosemoor gardens which were well worth a visit andBaggy Point which was great . Overall excellent value for money and can certainly recommend. Thank you to all the hard working staff.

We’ve just returned from a 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After sending an email to the hotel, they kindly upgraded us to a sea facing room which really enhanced our experience. The staff are all friendly, professional and courteous. The room itself had been refurbished and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was of a very good standard with plenty of choice. We had dinner one night which was of a high standard and the service was very attentive. The hotel clearly sells itself on the stunning view which is the star of this establishment. During our short time there we visited the beachside grill and had lunch. Although it belongs to the hotel it has a very different vibe with dogs and noise. Our visit to the thermal suite was enjoyable but sadly the hot tub wasn’t very hot. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and appreciate the hotels kindness in upgrading our room.

A welcomed post Christmas & New Year family break. We stayed in one of the hotel’s apartments. I was concerned that the Art Deco hotel might have been stuck with 1930’s decoration and plumbing - a faded shadow of its former self. It was also the end of the season; would the staff be jaded. No! They couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much of a problem. The apartment was exceptionally well equipped, spacious and clean; the hotel spa and swimming pool equally welcoming and clean. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We had a 4 night stay in a family apartment. We had plenty of space for all 5 of us, comfy furniture, well equipped kitchen including Ninja air fryer. The staff were all friendly and customer focused. The facilities for the kids were well thought out with something to entertain all ages. The dining room experience was excellent - great service from friendly and professional waiters and the food was of a very high standard and exquisite. I am so glad we decided to treat ourselves to a spa treatment - this exceeded all expectations! The hot stone massage was incredible - highly recommended. The big wow factor at Saunton Sands, apart from the wonderful staff and brilliant management, is the jaw-dropping view across the beach! We can't wait to come back!

During my visit this week, I was drawn to the spa by its stunning scenery. However, upon entering, I was disappointed to find that it did not meet basic standards. Both the steam room and sauna were out of order. It would have been helpful if the receptionist had informed me or if there had been a notice displayed outside before I made my payment for such a subpar experience. I plan to contest the charges with my bank for services that were not provided. It's unfortunate, as I was hoping for an unforgettable experience, but the service, from the front desk to the facilities, fell short. I visited a couple of years ago, and it's evident that the quality of both the facilities and management has declined significantly. I will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

Only pointers I would make are: - Bedrooms are dated and carpets need replacing. - Don’t call room service in the morning for breakfast as couldn’t get through, call the front desk.

Our party ranged from 78 years old to 16 weeks and we all had a great time. We'll be back when the baby is over a year and Dad is in his 80th year!!!

A very enjoyable and tasty afternoon tea with a glorious view across Saunton Sands. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Selection of sandwiches, cakes and treats were delicious and staff catered for preferences / dislikes by making small adjustment to the sandwich selection.
