We have just enjoyed a gloriously sunny 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel.We visited a few years ago but since then the hotel, pools and spa have had a revamp and are now very plush ,modern and clean. We ate twice in the hotel and had great food and excellent service.The staff were polite and helpful. We visited theRosemoor gardens which were well worth a visit andBaggy Point which was great . Overall excellent value for money and can certainly recommend. Thank you to all the hard working staff.

We’ve just returned from a 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After sending an email to the hotel, they kindly upgraded us to a sea facing room which really enhanced our experience. The staff are all friendly, professional and courteous. The room itself had been refurbished and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was of a very good standard with plenty of choice. We had dinner one night which was of a high standard and the service was very attentive. The hotel clearly sells itself on the stunning view which is the star of this establishment. During our short time there we visited the beachside grill and had lunch. Although it belongs to the hotel it has a very different vibe with dogs and noise. Our visit to the thermal suite was enjoyable but sadly the hot tub wasn’t very hot. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and appreciate the hotels kindness in upgrading our room.

When the children are happy, the parents are happy and this hotel definitely ensures this! So much for the children to do at the hotel, the playroom was a huge hit and being able to get on to the beach in minutes was just perfect. The spa time and treatment I had was relaxing and gave me the ‘me time’ I needed. The food offering and service we received from all staff can also not be faulted. We will definitely be returning!

I am writing this to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received during a families recent stay at The Saunton Sands Hotel, specifically regarding the conduct and management style of Kevin and Anthony Kingdon, followed by the director Peter Brend. Throughout our visit and during phone/email communication with other family members, we were shocked by the unprofessional manner in which all three individuals handled all of the points in relation to our complaint. Their approach was not only dismissive but consistently lacking in courtesy, attentiveness, and accountability. We were made to feel as though our concerns were an inconvenience rather than something worthy of their attention — a sentiment reinforced by their consistently rude demeanor, and poor communication. The overall management experience left us extremely disappointed and frustrated. We expected the level of service promised by your establishment, yet what we encountered was a complete disregard for hospitality and respect. This not only marred what should have been a relaxing stay, but also reflected poorly on the hotel's reputation. I hope the hotel takes the necessary steps to ensure all future guests are treated with the professionalism and respect they deserve.

The only reason it has a star is for the view from our room. The hotel looks like an upper class establishment but it’s ran by what I can describe as headless chickens… how this hotel runs day to day is beyond me. Staff have no clue or customer service and the management ( Kevin to be specific) how he hasn’t scared all the guests off by his rudeness the guy wouldn’t know customer service if it hit him in the face. The spa… was the most un-relaxing experience I have had. Sauna had an odd smell and the steam room didn’t work, and to top it off before we went to the Spa all my husbands clothes got stuck in a locker ( reported this and was promised it would be fixed by the time we got out ) after leaving the spa we asked if this had been fixed .. it had not… We spoke to the orignal staff member who said “ oh I didn’t think anything was in it” tried to get it open again and couldn’t so this had to be reported to maintenance who didn’t answer..
