The hotel facilities, cleanliness, and service were all excellent, and there's an elevator. The owner and staff provided great service too! The breakfast offered was delicious. Most importantly, the scenery was absolutely stunning! The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the old town, and it's not easy to find a taxi there. Luckily, the owner offers a pick-up/drop-off service, which is paid but reasonably priced. If you stay in the old town, you'd have to walk quite a distance with your luggage and climb stairs. Overall, I recommend this for travelers who want to see the old town's night view but don't want to forgo modern amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay here — the room was beautifully decorated, the surroundings were peaceful, and the lake view was so soothing. The moment we stepped in, the stunning scenery right before our eyes was truly moving. Breakfast, however, was a bit simple compared to what we saw other guests having — just dumplings, with no coffee or tea provided. Our two kids don’t really like dumplings, so we asked the host if we could have waffles instead. We appreciated the host’s understanding and willingness to make the change. Since the portion was quite small, we asked for one more, but the host explained that it would be an extra charge. A plain waffle cost $48. We booked four rooms, and with only dumplings as breakfast and extra charges for waffles, it was a little disappointing. That said, everything else about our stay was wonderful — we really liked the place, and the host’s warm attitude made us feel very welcome. It was just a small hiccup, but we would still recommend this accommodation to others.

The hotel is located within the Taohuayuan Scenic Area in Youyang, allowing guests to appreciate the beauty of the local architecture. I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely come back in the spring to see the peach blossoms.

A trip to Chongqing is incomplete without a stay at Gongtan Ancient Town's Bashi Inn which is located at the bank of the calm Wujiang River facing the forested mountain. The Inn is conveniently situated opposite the Wujiang Cruise Centre. We had 2 blissful nights and adore the scenic view from our balcony. The room is clean and very comfortable. Our host, Ms Ran Ran, is a very warm and helpful person who had gone the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. She helped arrange all our transportation needs: arriving from Pengshui and departure from Gongtan.

I have stayed in many homestays, but this one really stands out. The bed is super comfortable, with moderate hardness and softness. I don't want to get up after lying down. There are many books in the public lounge area. You can play and communicate with other guests in your spare time and make new friends. Gongtan Ancient Town is as beautiful as a painting. The slow-paced life really makes people relax physically and mentally. There are bougainvilleas everywhere in the ancient town. The colors are bright and beautiful, and it is super beautiful with the green river water. And the lady at the front desk is really super gentle and nice.

She made a pot of local eagle tea for us, talked to you about the history and humanities of the ancient town, and there will be neighbors to chat at night, all of which reveal the simplicity and beauty of the place. Listening to them talk about the various things they have paid to restore this old house, this respect for culture and inheritance has made the accommodation experience a bit more temperature. **Postscript:** If you are tired of the same hotel, you may as well come here to stay.
