Dear Sir / Madam After our stay on Friday 6th June and after your email to give feedback, I felt it only right to give my feedback to you first. On arrival we wowed as we entered 10 The Abbey But we were shocked and disappointed to be told the room (Pensthorpe Gardens) we had booked on 10th January 2025 had been booked out to another guest, we had had No correspondence about this move before our stay . We were swapped to room Wymondham Abbey, Our first impression was "this looks nice ",but as we looked closer we we started to notice that the was not so good,Dirty and Tired. We first noticed the broken chandelier badly mended with sellotape, The bathroom floor has a broken and cracked tile and tile grouting missing from around a few tiles, A build up of dirt around and behind the toilet and in every corner of the floor, Grime and dirt and rust at the bottom of the shower screen, Black mouldy and loose silicone in the shower area, Mould and limescale all over the shower hose (when was the last time it had been cleaned). After I showered I dried myself in the bathroom and walked barefoot to the dressing table and noticed my feet were very dirty from the room floor so I had to wash them again, put on my socks and shoes to prevent them getting dirty again, NOT only was the floor very dirty and in need of a good thorough clean the flooring is coming apart in a few places. There is paint flaking of the walls around the bay window. And to cap it all when I went to bed the pillows Smelt Old and Musty as if the had been bought from a local charity shop. What a shame and disappointment and NOT what I was expecting after seeing yr glossy pictures and fancy blurb AND certainly NOT worth the £150 I paid for the one nights stay The phrase you can't judge a book by its cover comes to mind. On the pluss side the staff were pleasant and helpful but on checking out was asked if our stay was nice so I politely told her of my concerns and the lack of cleanliness of the room she said "she would look into them "and apologised But I would be grateful to hear your feedback on the points I have raised.
