The Wellington ★★★
Llangoed Hall ★★★★
The Castle Hotel ★★★
"It was a very pleasant hotel, nice and quiet when I visited but it is the beginning of the year, didn't see anyone after checking in, amenities were nice and the room was very comfortable and clean. Location is not too far from Brecon, but best drive as it's around 12 miles. Breakfast was good, just help yourself to bits that are there. I would visit again."
Cosy 2 bed barn in Bannau Brycheiniog national park, with outdoor patio. ★★★
Rhif Deg ★★★
The Grange Guest House ★★★★
Borderers Inn ★★★
"My sister and I stayed at the Borderers Guest House on a 4 day walking weekend. The welcome from Gail and Kevin was so warm. Gail couldn't do enough for us, recommending local restaurants for a late dinner and being flexible with breakfast timings. When I asked if a vegan breakfast was possible, she asked me how adventurous I was. When I said I would eat anything made of plants, she told me I was her favourite type of guest! For the following days I had the most amazing, imaginative breakfasts. The most delicious scrambled tofu with fresh coriander and spices on sourdough. Chickpea pancakes with yogurt. A really delicious savoury porridge. Each breakfast went down a treat and set me up for a full day of hiking. My sister is a meat eater and was also really pleased with her more traditional cooked breakfast. The room was warm and welcoming and we both slept really well on comfortable beds. Highly recommended - definitely the place to stay in Brecon. It's no surprise that Gail has visitors who return again and again! I will definitely go back when I get the chance."
The Town House Bnb ★★★★★
"Super rooms with all modern facilities in a 200 year old building. Breakfast to suit most needs served fresh. Very friendly owners keen to ensure you have a good stay. only concern is that the stairs (of which there are two floors) can be tricky."
