Fantastic hotel with very accommodating staff. Food was plentiful and delicious and the kitchen accommodated our dietary requirements very well. Rooms are comfortable, clean and warm - lots of towels and products. Location is ideal, a short walk to Cretaz lift. Really hope to return next year.

I'd recommend staying half board as the food is generally excellent. There is a good choice each night, and they will cater for fussy children. The staff are great, especially Irene in the restaurant, but all work hard and make you feel very welcome. Special mention for the wine waiter who offered some great wines to try out. I don't think our room was as modern as some, but was still perfectly adequate although was dimly lit. We did have a view of the Matterhorn which was a plus. If skiing you are 2mins easy walk to the Cretaz chairlift, which was never that busy. The main gondola is too far to walk, so you can use the hotel minibus, however I found it to be unreliable having waited 15mins for it to move one day and not even start till 9am on another (lifts open 8.30) Overall, very good hotel, well situated and staff and food are excellent. Would stay again. Thank you for making my stay a pleasurable one.

Don’t understand previous reviews and so glad we discounted them when we chose this hotel. Firstly our flight was delayed so we missed dinner, the hotel served dinner in our room which was tasty and fresh. Breakfast was buffet style and excellent. Lots of hot and cold choices. The scrambled eggs were refreshed often and lovely and buttery. So many pastries, fresh breads, yoghurts, fruit, drinks, etc. you won’t go into the slopes feeling hungry. Coffee and tea was served to the table, waiting staff were always on hand to order fresh. Dinner is a great experience, we didn’t manage to eat all 5 courses on any night because the food was so plentiful but more importantly delicious and beautifully presented. Very attentive staff who were very friendly, special mention to Irene and Thomas. We stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the Matterhorn (and car park but for us it was quiet). Not in one of the recently refurbished rooms but comfortable and clean. Fresh towels supplied twice daily. Lift to ski/boot room so no steep slope or stairs to navigate with tired legs at the end of the day. Short walk to the chair lift. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

A good, functional ski hotel close to the slopes, but no better. Restaurant excellent for dinner, but a cheap and rather inadequate breakfast. Rooms are critical. We paid for “ Mountain View” but it was awful overlooking communal bins and were frequently woken at night with the usual drunks and bottles et al being emptied. The underinvestment is obvious. A lot of things don’t work : we needed help all week with a malfunctioning safe. The spa is awful. It is in the old beer cellar and is small and rather nasty ( massage rooms are good upstairs). The Manager is a remote figure who never demeans himself to speak to guests even if they are repeat visitors, though he does welcome ‘friends and family’ who are local very warmly. He comes across as cold and arrogant who treats visitors as a necessary evil ( and is ‘sharp’ with his own staff). If you are happy to stick to basics; fine. If you’d like a bit of warmth along with a sense of being welcomed , and - especially - a quiet night, forget it.

This is the second time I've been to this hotel, and whilst it is spacious, well run and well located - it does need some improvements. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which consists of a twin bed, which can be a double, plus a single, with a further pull-out single underneath. As we were two guys, we flipped a coin as to who had the double and who had the single. Perhaps if they replaced the single with a sofa bed, then two people could each have a double? The room is perfectly comfortable and spacious for two, but is not really ideal for three adults. The décor is a bit retro, and the bathroom could do with a refresh too. Don't get me wrong - it's not tatty, just not up to date. Breakfast is okay, but more limited than I have experienced in other similar (even less expensive) hotels. Dinner is generally very good, with a starter, first course and main course - all à la carte, and ordered at the time - not at breakfast. Service is generally good. Housekeeping is very good. The hotel gets you a 20% discount off ski rental at a shop that's 2 minutes walk away too. The boot room is still poor. It is small, out of date and only accessible from the slopes via a 4 person service lift. I don't know how they can improve the lift, but the room, lockers and ski storage are desperate for an update.

We stumbled across this hotel after our original hotel messed up our booking and left us without accommodation. What a silver lining it turned out to be! The hotel is in a wonderful spot, the facilities are great and the food excellent. But it was the staff and service that really made our stay so memorable and enjoyable. From the always-helpful reception staff (‘no need to borrow a brush to get the snow off your car, give us the keys and we will do it for you’); the maitre’s greeting by name each meal-time, Martina’s professional but super sunny cheerful service in the restaurant; every single staff member was smiling, polite, professional and efficient. I never usually write reviews, but I would 100% recommend this hotel and we will definitely return. Top marks and our thanks to an extremely well-managed business.

We stayed here over new year 2024, having previously stayed here at Easter in 2018. The hotel staff are simply lovely. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay happy and memorable. The food is fantastic. Beautifully presented and delightful. As good as some Michelin starred restaurants we have been to. Excellent advice on the wine to accompany dinner even if you are ordering just a glass. Nothing is too much trouble.

Wonderful return visit to this reliably lovely, family-friendly hotel. Perfect location for the lifts, apres-ski and town centre. Some really lovely restaurants nearby for lunch, but dinner in the hotel was ideal for my family. Various dietary needs and wishes were all catered for with style and patience. The food was delicious, but, above all, the service was delightful. Polite, but ever so friendly and entertaining. Pre-dinner drinks and antipasti in the bar is a must! Wonderful to be back and looking forward to our next visit in a few months.

A superb experience for all the family. We couldn’t fault our stay. The staff were fantastic, as was the food and general atmosphere in the hotel, not to mention the superb location, less than a minutes walk from the ski lifts and nursery slope.
